Standing in the back of his shop on Broome Street not far from Manhattan's Chinatown, the owner of MNC EBike, a Chinese immigrant who called himself "Mister Lin," folded his arms tightly together as he reflected on the death of another immigrant from his home country -- Wenjian Liu, the New York City police officer shot to death while he and his partner sat in their patrol car Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn.
"Whenever you hear about something so violent like this, it's really difficult to accept," Lin explained in Mandarin.

In just one month, two high-profile cases -- the first Chinese-American NYPD officer to be killed in the line of duty and the November 20 death of an unarmed black man in a Brooklyn housing project, shot by a Chinese-American rookie police officer -- have collectively touched a nerve in New York's Chinese community, from which 4 percent of the city's police force has its roots.
On the streets of Chinatown early Monday morning, residents huddled around stacks of Chinese-language newspapers piled outside grocery stores, hunching over to read the headlines about Liu and his partner, Officer Rafael Ramos, who were gunned down execution-style this past weekend. The owner of the Ri Xin convenient store on Eldridge Street, who gave her surname as Liu (no relation to the officer), said she was shocked to read about the brazenness with which the killer, Ismaaiyl Brinsley, carried out the ambush against Liu and Ramos in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
"In China, people respect the police more," she said in Mandarin. "There, the police are looked at as officials with enormous power."(continued)

Well.. if you believe the race-pimps collective narrative...
running around offing people indiscriminately without consequence is an enormous power.
Wonder how long he's been in America and still can't/refuses to speak English.
I’ve been surprised the Chinese Community has not reacted more, but they may exist in a fractured manner, not fully aware of their total numbers in that city.
Usually when an emotional issue is encountered, many immigrants will revert to their native language to express themselves in a manner that is familiar and easier than trying to think of the English equivalent...remember Ricky & Lucy?...............
The Triads will react in due time.
Police cops will be the least that blacks are going to have to worry about.
Babaloooo!
I wonder, would the Media consider these two cops a white Oriental and a white Hispanic?
Every time he’d get really angry with Lucy he’d revert to Spanish!...................
Especially since George Zimmerman is “blacker” than Bareback Obama.
The Chinese are given low priority in college admissions. Now this murder. How about the black community issues an apology to Chinese? waiting....
What if the Chinese gangs decided to go after blacks?
“What if the Chinese gangs decided to go after blacks?”
No contest. The Chinese would win, hands-down.
In China and Singapore, people are taught to respect elders and fear the police.
Its the Confucian value system.
If you do there what you do here, you’ll get a bullet in the back of your head or face being hanged.
Ferguson-style riots would never happen there.
I’ll never forget when Shaquille O’neal said:
“Tell Yao Ming, Ching-chong-yang-wah-ah-soh.’
Not a word in the press. No outrage. No riots in the streets.
We all know who the racists are.
Chinese culture prohibits open dialogue with non-Chinese people during distress and tragedy. Only the family participates as to what the response will be. I can tell you openly that both Hispanics and all Asians have no use for African-Americans, especially, after this horrible, unecessary, dual murder of NYPD officers, caused by Obama, Holder, Sharpton & De Blasio, Black racists!!! African-Americans are standing alone, except for some left-wing, progressive, Black racist nutcases!!! They have screwed themselves....and they do not have a clue, as to how badly off they are!!!
Most Chinese who come here do speak English, at least they speak it better than some inner city youths who were born here.
A. Yes, to a degree. There isnt much of an organized “community”.
B. Lots aren’t citizens, even if legal
C. Even if citizens, they tend not to vote
D. First and second gen at least are socialized old country style, where the political leadership is understood to be unaccountable, and the best policy by the populace is to endure them. This changes only in times of extreme hardship.
In America things go very well overall, in their frame of reference, no matter who is in charge. So far.
E. Poor Chinese and Hispanic immigrants suffer the worst from black crime (other than other black people of course), more so than whites as they tend to live closer to them. There is rarely any “community” activism about this.
Thanks for explaining the low key public reaction to the Chinese Officer’s murder. I didn’t realize they still operated in that fashion. But then, the asian cultures are in general far older and more homeogenic that average black and white communities, so conformity in social expression is still the rule.
Or, as Raj would say, a delightful caramel.
