Our constitution (in my view) reflects the best of human nature, the desire to control ones own destiny. The socialist believe they have won, but it is an illusion enforced by a media that only shows one side.
Empires bigger and meaner then the current crop of socialist have crumbled when elite rulers went against the best interest and beliefs of those they would rule over.
I am reminded of a Pharaoh, a living god, who tried to fundamentally change the way his people lived, and what they believed. He was in the end cast aside and all (or almost) all records of his rule destroyed and the people returned to their life as it was before him.
Another living god, King Louis XVI of France, believed he could do anything he wanted because, well he was king and a god. We all know how that turned out.
I don’t know if Obama believes he is a king or a god, but I do think he believes he can do anything he wants. Right now it may seem like that is true, and he still has many enablers and supporters, but the wheels on his bus are already coming off. Many of those enablers and supporters will fade away when he is no longer any use to them.
The American people for the most part just want to be left alone. The socialist want to rule every aspect of our life. The two positions are not compatible. And while it may seem the socialist have all the power, that is also just an illusion. The American people hold the power to end all of this at any time (and not violently, but just by peaceful action and elections).
Some believe that the left wants open revolt of the common man, if so, they (the left) will not be happy if they get their wish.
It does seem that the outside agitators who are manipulating these protests that never would've happened without them wanted to provoke a deadly reaction against their useful idiots. It backfired.
The thinking in most locations where these protests happened of letting them run their course is beyond comprehension. Mygosh, they'd already burned a town down. I'd blame the police chiefs and elected officials who didn't stop this manipulated protesting the first time they did something illegal.
And deBlasio's remarks about not trusting police in encounters with his son....of course he should resign.

I did not say they had to have a good reason, they just need a reason.
I want to share your optimism, but they are already ignoring the Constitution and flooding the country with illegals so that our culture and our sovereignty will be obliterated. If I did not have my religious faith I would probably be in great despair because of the state of our nation and of our society.
Truly hope you are right, and I am wrong.
There is nothing that has been done, that can not be undone, if the majority of Americans want it.
I have said for a while now, this is being orchestrated to discredit the police. No respect for the police or law enforcement will lead to martial law.
At this point I have no idea how common citizens can tamps this down with the White House telling these “protestors” to stay the course. The only way would be to somehow get them to understand they are being royally played as useful idiots.

I’m not sure how it would be implemented. Otoh, you have the YouTube speech where he states he wants an armed force of citizens on par with the military, so I’m not just tossing out theories. I cant post the link easily on this device but you can search on YouTube and find it easily, heck you probably have seen it 10 times already.
