By now you know President Obama announced yesterday he will unilaterally normalize the relationship between Cuba and the United States. Back in 2008, Obama said he would talk and negotiate with Iran and now, sources tell the Los Angeles Times that the president attempted to start talks with North Korea and failed last year.
A White House official made two secret visits to North Korea last year in an unsuccessful effort to improve relations after new ruler Kim Jong Un assumed power, according to former U.S. officials familiar with the trips.
The former U.S. officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the back-channel trips have not been formally disclosed, said the first visit was an unsuccessful attempt to persuade Pyongyang not to launch a long-range rocket.
Incredible. Negotiating with North Korea? What could possibly go wrong?
Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich is calling North Korea's hack attack and threats of violence against Sony cyber warfare. By the way, we're losing.

No one should kid themselves. With the Sony collapse
America has lost its first cyberwar. This is a very very
dangerous precedent.

There is literally one working computer in North Korea, and we just lost to it.
Exit question: When will Obama send White House officials to talk with the GOP on Capitol Hill?

0bama could always reduce America’s nuclear weapons stockpile by just giving them to Iran.
He (or his emissary) should have crawled literally rather than figuratively on his belly to make the plea. That might have done it. Oh, and prosecute Seth Rogan and anyone else involved in the film that has p.o.’ed Little Kim. After all, there’s precedent: The film-maker blamed and jailed for Benghazi.
I understand that Kim Jung-Un has decided to take a stand of no negotiations with terrorist states.
Or the Norks...
I’m sure they’d “open up talks” if Obama just gave them a few ICBMs.
Already got em.
Not the likes of our nice, modern and shiny ICBMs.
And probably not a fusion bomb either, just fission.

FREEPER ACTION ALERT--Every time we contact Pubbies---include this winning list of OUR votes, as a sober reminder.
The treasure trove of "The Midterm Democrat Demolition Derby" and down-ticket state wins have yet to be fully- mined, but this we know:
<><> REPUBLICANS (NOT THE GOPE) WON STUNNING ELECTORAL HISTORY...
<><> midterms were a massive and awesome rejection of liberals;
<><> Landrieu's loss means Southern Democrats control not a single governorship, US senator or legislative chamber,
<><> Democrat losses stretch from the Carolinas westward to Texas,
<><> Of 140 Southern States election districts---110 went Republican.
<><> GOP's House majorities are so huge and solid NBC's Chuck Todd says Dems can't recapture losses until 2022.
<><> Some pundits say Republicans have a 100-year majority;
<><> when the next US Senate convenes, 30 lock-stepping Democrats who voted for Obamacare are gone.
<><> Ark and Ill (Clinton hometowns) have Repub governors---important in a prez race b/c guvs control party machinery.
<><> Unprecedented MINN 6th Congressional district---every single House and Senate district went Repub
<><>GOP now controls the MINN State House.
<><> Ohio's historic GOP statehouse takeover (Gun Control is toast)
<><> Ohio's Gov, Lt. Gov, AG, Secy of State, State Auditor, State Treasurer--all R---Sup/Ct - 6 R/1 D
<><> Britt Hume: "latino vote is zilch"---"over-50" is significant 30% voting segment.
<><> Republicans unified control: gov/legislature in 23 states (per Ntl Conference of State Legislatures factoid).
<><> Repub governorships: Florida, Tx, Ill, Ohio, Mich, MD, Wisconsin, NC, GA, Mass. .
<><> GOP has every congressional seat in Arkansas; first time in 141 years...
<><> Environmentalists fogged out---suffered huge losses.
<><> Gun Control Candidates blitzed.
<><> "War on Women" became a ntl joke.
<><> Clinton's politically useless---most candidates they flacked lost.
<><> Montana, So/Dakota and West/VA Dems were forced to retire; no hope of getting re-elected,
<><> Repubs hold 246 House seats (Dems 188), the largest GOP advantage since the Truman administration after World War II. An Arizona recount leaves one House race still outstanding.
<><> 73 percent of LA's white voters say told they "strongly disapproved" of the president.
<><> Arizona Republican McSally wins last open House seat after recount (Gaby Giffords seat)
<><> McSally's Arizona win gives GOP 5-4 advantage in the Arizona congressional delegation,
<><>Republican Congress holds largest House majority in 83 years...
Oh, this is going to be beautiful.

NK at least respected the USA even if it hated same. Maybe NK will have pity on the USA now that it has become a nebbish nation.
Unless wry laughter removes headaches.
Maybe they could have a tree-bark beer summit.
Maybe Barry should have sent Michael Jordan to negotiate with Kim, instead of Dennis Rodman. And what about that World B. Free guy?
Of course, the next President's going to have to deal with the rogue "friends" and address all their actions that are not in the our interest or the interest of any peace and liberty loving person on the planet. Luckily for Obama, he's not one of those.
Let’s do predictions. I predict that Clown Prince nobama will give massive foreign aid to Cuba in the next few months (including the property known as Guantanamo). Can you spell traitor?
I thought it was just my imagination, but now I am pretty sure that the Obama Administration has had a policy of reestablishing relations with all the countries we have heretofore not had.
A few years ago, this amounted to Libya (done, but at great expense and the lost lives of some brave men), Cuba (done, unless Congress grows a set and stops this), Iran (see article - not yet done, clearly Obama’s stated intent) and North Korea (tried and failed, through Dennis Rodman and his so-called “basketball diplomacy”).
On that last part, the White House officially distanced itself from the Rodman trips and denied any involvement, but everyone knows it was set up and actively supported by Obama. Have they ever lied to us before?
To pursue a legacy of having established diplomatic relations with every country on earth by the end of 2016 as a show Obama’s foreign policy expertise is both naïve and flat-out dangerous. However, I am now convinced that this has been the goal all along.
He wants us disarmed. This is plain.
This is just me talking but I’m not on board with this North Korean story. The amount and thoroughness of the hack goes way back. This administration has a habit of being less than truthful about foreign affairs to cover up their incompetence.
