In his first interview since he announced Tuesday that he was actively exploring the possibility of running for president, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said he thought he could persuade the Republican base to support his position on immigration. Bush has advocated for Republicans to soften their tone on immigration, and has repeatedly called on Congress to address the issue with comprehensive legislation. A candidate gets to persuade, Bush said to Miamis NBC 6. I think theres a compelling case that if we want to be young and dynamic again, we have to make legal immigration easier than illegal immigration, that we control our borders, enforce the laws. But that we embrace our immigrant heritage and allow our country to take off. You gotta do both.

I hope he doesn’t run, primarily because I’ve already had my fill of Jeb.
If Jeb really believes that, he is clueless.
Promising he’ll immigrate to Cuba rather than run here would be something I would support.
“What an arrogant prick. I am not voting for a candidate who is for the decimation of the Middle Class.”

I agree!
Jerk has no chance of being elected.
He’s only a placeholder to assure that the demonRAT gets elected.
“I think theres a compelling case that if we want to be young and dynamic again, we have to make legal immigration easier than illegal immigration, that we control our borders, enforce the laws”
You want to make legal immigration easier? That’s a valid discussion to have. AFTER we close the borders and deport the illegals.
Until then, we won’t budge an inch, because if we concede anything now, then border security and enforcement will never happen.
Ditto.
He should run in Mexico.
I can tell that he’s daft just by seeing that vacant stare. It’s like nothing is there!
What the Dauphin and his financiers from the Chamber of Commerce want is to expand legal immigration so much as to make illegal immigration irrelevant. The Rubio-Durbin-Schumer POS bill would of tripled legal immigraiton.
I like that even better.
Bullshit!!!

Translation: The conservative base won’t be given any choice in the matter. The primary process will run it’s usual course. There will be rancor and debate mostly consisting of trashing the conservatives, and then suddenly, overnight, it will be over and a RINO will be ensconced.
No more open borders. No more pro-illegals. No more Bush family.
Pro-illegals, pro-Common Core, pro-choice.......... shall I go on? Probably gets his hot sauce from New York City!
They hate the fact that there is a "Bush dynasty," yet they are calling for the election of Hillary CLINTON.
BTW, one guy lamented that they couldn't combine the wisdom of Elizabeth Warren with the experience of Hillary Clinton!
