Surely You are good unto them that wait for You, to the souls that seek You. Your mercies are not consumed, because Your compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
Lord, during these busy days before the celebration of Your Son’s birth, we ask You to help us take time to be still with You and listen to Your voice. For busyness is the enemy of intimacy with You. Help us Lord, to seek the needed things----the necessary time that will keep our hearts in harmony with Yours.
We ask You to help our military men and women to hope in You. We know that in You they can find rest and peace. Grant them special meaning to their Christmas whether they are celebrating at home or away. We pray for all the families of our heroes who will not be able to be with their loved ones who are serving our nation. Father, may Your blessings be shared with them in many different ways and through many different servants.
Father, the times in which we live cause us great concern. We are seeing more and more that evil is called good and good, evil. We are realizing that placing our hope in government or anything of this world is fruitless. Help us to hope in You alone, for only You can be called truly faithful. Thank You, Lord, that during this time when our institutions are under assault and our nation is unstable, You, Lord, are the same---yesterday, today, and forever. Great is Your faithfulness. We thank You, Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
