Elizabeth Warren and Nancy Pelosi are right

The end times are upon us. I find myself in agreement with not just Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), but House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

It’s not just me. Right Wing News’ John Hawkins — not exactly a cheerleader for bipartisan consensus — is publicly standing with Warren, Pelosi, and their liberal allies in the House and Senate. As have conservative Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), Townhall.com’s Amy Otto, and Tea Party Patriots, among many others.

And I’m not only opposed to the omnibus bill that squeaked through the House and may fail in the Senate. I’m flat-out agreeing with the principles upon which Pelosi and Warren are making their stand — specifically, their opposition to what Hawkins called “the GOP’s sop to the banks on derivatives along with their sleazy attempt to change campaign finance rules to benefit incumbents.”

Broken clocks. If it was up to me I would mostly deregulate the financial sector but double the capital requirements for banks and once again separate investment and commercial banking. With the situation today it is heads I win tales you (tax payers) situation for the dominant banks.

I’d declare Credit Default Swaps to be a fraud and lock up the Banksters.

I would just enact a law that says the Federal Reserve could not obligate debt to buy Treasury Notes and Mortgage Back Securities without PRIOR full Congressional approval.

I would further require YEARLY independent audits of Federal Reserve activities that are reported to the Congress and included in the Federal Register and Library of Congress.

Blind squirrels finding nuts. Nothing new, of course; just another long procession of Dems dong this, kinda like Obama criticizing Bush over borrow/spend.

In short, make sure banks are properly capitalized and truly re-impose the Glass-Steagall Act to get banks out of the risky equities business. After all, look at what happened during the 1987 stock market crash and the 1997-1999 Asian financial crisis--because bank assets were not harmed by these events due to the Glass-Steagall Act provisions, the US economy did not suffer significantly from these events. Imagine what would have happened in 2008 if Glass-Steagall was still in place--the failure of Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers would have only relatively short term effects because the banks would have become the economic backstop to prevent a more horrible economic collapse.

Pelosi still looks like a complete moron, but Warren is playing this beautifully.

Conservatives and ultra-lefties may both oppose the bill but it is for entirely different reasons.

The whole Crapulous Bill should be shelved along with those who wrote and supported it.

You know, I honestly don’t care if Elizabeth Warren goes on the, ahem, warpath against Wall Street. Send some pain their way. It’s fine by me. With corporate America so busily promoting and pushing both amnesty and the depraved homo agenda, I certainly view them as far more an enemy than an ally. Sick of the whole revolving crony system between them and our totally corrupt government.

‘’There is no limit to what you can accomplish if you don’t care who gets the credit.’’ ~Ronald Reagan

If Elizabeth Warren can prevent the CRomnibus bill from passing, thereby defunding amnesty and ObamaCare, she’s Joan of Arc battling the evildoers. If she becomes an evildoer herself, she’ll deserve to be burned at the stake. But for now, thank you for helping the country.

If you think Warren will defund amnesty and Obamacare you are sadly mistaken. She would be one of the ones the most in favor of keeping those funded.

However, if she succeeds in getting a continuing resolution, it will be to her and the Dems' detriment in the long run and Boehner will be smiling.

Warren and Pelosi are pretending that the spending bill is centrist. It's not and enough Democrats will support it to make it happen.

Warren and Pelosi are play actors. Folks are being Grubered.

Leftists will support the bill. The bill supports funding for amnesty.
