Climate talks in Lima ran into extra time amid rising frustration from developing countries at the ridiculously low commitments from rich countries to help pay for cuts in greenhouse gas emissions.
The talks were designed to draft a blueprint for a global deal to fight climate change, due to be adopted in Paris late next year. But developing countries argued that before signing on they needed to see greater commitments that the industrialised countries would keep to their end of a bargain to provide the money needed to fight climate change.
Countries are also divided over the initial commitments countries are expected to make on fighting climate change known as intended nationally determined contributions.
Rich countries, including the US, only want to commit to carbon cuts. Developing countries want those commitments to include finance for climate adaptation.

Pound sand.
The ‘rich world’ is out of money.
The world if full of non-productive “Gibsmedats.” I sure have something to gibs dem but it is not money.
I don’t disagree with you, but where is all the money lost by the ‘rich countries’?
Maybe they’re gonna volunteer to go try to fix the area around the line drawings that greenpeace screwed up the other day. If one of us had done it, we’d already be in jail. Greenpiece? Nah. “We’re sorry and besides, it was for the betterment of mankind.”. “Oh, okay then.” Kinda like an ex-astronauts daughters dog killing a seal pup in California. Since he’s a celeb (he thinks)he gets a pass. We’d still be in jail.
And yet still want to impose restrictions on the poorer nations. Thereby making sure that the poor stay poor.
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
Really, if they are expected to cripple their struggling economies even more, in the name of the climate change bullcrap, they have a valid concern.
Poor countries and poor people don’t believe in the “Man Caused Climate Change Hoax”.
They still live closer to the natural world and are more focused on day to day subsistance than on wealthy liberal boutique causes.
But if goofy liberals from first world countries are willing to give them money for saying “I Do” they are happy to comply.
The reason they’re poor is because of corrupt governments and other officials.
Everybody, all over the world, is demanding “free stuff” from the hardworking American taxpayers these days. Thanks Barry! You made them love our money! Real Nobel stuff you did there.
The poor countries banging their tin cups in hopes of guilting the “rich” countries giving them money to buy weapons to further suppress their people.
Wake up. There is nothing stopping them from becoming rich other than their evil leaders.
what ever happened to make your own. If these country’s had a lick of industriousness and respect for business and property rights over the generations they wouldn’t be poor, and no amount of handouts from the west will ever change that which they wont change themselves.
You cant make anyone wealthy or successful by giving them money
