WASHINGTON – Republican Sens. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Jeff Sessions are pushing for a vote to defund President Obama’s executive amnesty in the “Cromnibus” spending bill Friday night, The Daily Caller has learned.
The trio of conservative senators is hoping to get the defund vote onto the Senate floor as a “point of order,” which would force a procedural vote on the issue without Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid having to introduce it.
The senators are pushing hard on Capitol Hill for the measure as of early Friday afternoon. If successful, the vote would take place late Friday night, after planned deliberations on the defense budget.

We need a dozen more just like them. Texas, Utah and Alabama should be proud.
This is meaningless. They should be devoting their limited time towards building a coalition of senators to vote down the Elitist, Washington, big money cromnibus. The bill they are currently working on will be voted down and go nowhere. However, if they rally the troops and join some of the crazy (but useful in this matter) left, they just may be able to get 40 votes to knock Cromnibus out and stick it to the GOPe and Obama.
Wish it were already January.
They are outnumbered, but at least they are putting up the good fight.

It maikes no difference how a senator votes on a vote that’s going to go nowhere.
it really only matters how a sentor votes or proceeds on an action that is actually going to be effective.
Showing me that you want to do something and/ or doing something symbolic doesn’t mean anything to me anymore.
Want to show me you’re serious, elect someone other than McConnel majority leader.
Do something other than business as usual.
I do not need or care baout 250 votes to defund Obamacare or anythign else.
Use your damn power effectively.
Make them read the damn bill. Every word of it. Delay it , ruin their flights home, make a short term funding bill absolutely necessary.
The with few exceptions, the Republicans are now the Obuttkisser Party .... this Cromnibus bill is proof positive for those who are still in denial.
