Most American kids attend public schools. On the other hand, the first daughters, Malia and Sasha, attend Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. Tuition per student at the private school is $36,264 per year (but that includes a hot lunch).
For Tuesday, Dec. 9, the scrumptious, bountiful lunch menu for both the middle school and the upper school at Sidwell Friends is:
Potato Sausage Soup; Firecracker Slaw; California Chefs Salad; All Natural Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings; Sweet Potato Black Bean Bake; Sautéed Local Greens; Gemelli Alfredo; Sliced Pineapple
This menu of completely free lunch items certainly sounds delicious and nutritious. Also, to be clear, its for a single day, not the entire week....

Sasha is said to not like some of the lunches but at the side table for problem eaters there is always peanut butter. She favors caviar and peanut butter sandwiches
We didn’t even have a cafeteria where you could buy lunch until we got to high school.
Michelle Obama has basically crawled under a rock since her BS school lunch guidelines started hitting the Internet with school lunch pics posted to social media sites by the students themselves.
I wouldn’t say its the last we ever hear from her, but I sure hope so.
Oy vey.
Same here.
Aren’t we paying for their lunches too?
Why is no one interested in following the money for these public school lunches. Every single lunch item for these “wholesome” lunches is supplied by ONE vendor!!!!!! This is a huge gravy train some one in high places. Does Michelle Obama benefit financially by this?
We never bought lunch. We either walked home or took a sandwich.

you ask if kids can brown bag
not really . now school people look at a kids lunch from home and then reject it
One school rejected a turkey on wholewheat. baked chips a cookie and apple.
remember schools get taxpayer money to shovel that slop.
Marie fat azz Soetoro-Antoinette has no business dictating anything.
This is the pickle into which subsidization has gotten us. The pricey school includes its lunch program in its price, and so it can serve what it wishes.
Subsidization freaks always pull things down below mediocre. Always. The older lunch system wasn’t as wicked as modernly depicted.
When that BEGAN, that should have been the bridge too far.
Good way to educate kids on the hazards of the common Democrat.
Damn sure no authority, as I said in my other post that the over sensitive mod deleted.
Still really trying to figure out why anyone paid attention to the pronouncements and orders of an unelected fascist spouse whose own dietary issues are evident whenever she sways her twin bags of angry ferrets in front of the cameras. The main problem with childhood and adolescent obesity has everything to do with lack of active physical play (you know, real games and not virtual ones on an electronic appendage) and very little to do with school lunches and home diet.
The kids were all for more government until they had to eat it.
... and then they got a peek behind the golden curtain to see how their ‘leaders’ dined.
Yup. Great lesson. Hope it’s not too late.
Our high school cafeteria was destroyed in a earthquake. They decided not to rebuild it. Easier to sell 50/50 burgers from a bungalow.
