While President Barack Obama asks the nation if we will accept the “cruelty of ripping children from their parents arms” it’s blatantly apparent to parents like Michelle that he isn’t talking about sick children like hers. Agents of the state with calculated, callus, impunity take their children.
On the morning that plunged Michelle and Isaiah into their current nightmare, Michelle scurried around her room at the Ronald McDonald House talking to Isaiah, and getting ready to see him. “Hurry,” he pleaded, and so she did. Before she could board the transport shuttle to the hospital another call came in: a social worker eager to know when she would arrive.
The inquisitive agent of the state met Michelle at the hospital entrance and began to walk with her. She was deceptively pleasant filling the walk with small talk– until they joined the director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Dr. Zena Leah Harris and another social worker. Instead of going to Isaiah’s room as Michelle expected, this new doctor, who she had never met before, led her back into another area of the hospital.
“I started feeling a little bit off.” Michelle confessed, “I didn’t know where we were going, I saw people just standing around. There were security guards. Then I heard someone say, ‘Where’s the mom? Who’s the mom?’ It was all a little unsettling. I didn’t know what was going on.”
Then the doctor stated, ”We’re taking your son for 48 hours.”
Stunned and confused, Michelle asked what they were taking him for, they replied “Medical Child Abuse.” Completely unaware of what they even meant, the trembling mother asked, “What’s that?”
She was dismissed, and told to “Google it…I will be making medical decisions for your son going forward.”

Regardless of what I planned to do with regard to ensuing actions and its legality, I would have informed that b!tch that her statement that “I will be assuming the decision authority henceforth” also would require that she would be responsible for any ensuing hospital bills or payments.
In any action afterwards, she would be included as a culpable respondent.
Not even a service of legal papers? Just told to “Google it”? That is low down.
There should be required something like four medical opinions from unrelated doctors before being able to do something like this.
It is about time someone wrote about this. It is DIVIDING FAMILIES. The whole thing is insane!
I wouldn’t think this is a question if the child has indeed been made a ward of the state.
What seems real weird is that this happened in a “Ronald McDonald House.” Yes, that McDonald’s. Maybe we should “have it our way” at Burger King instead? (Yes, they have other troubles.)
What is “weird” to me is the state presuming parents don’t have the best intentions for their children. It seems to me some standard of proof, proof where facts and assumptions can be disputed under impartial review can be judged.
Justina Pelletier was held in the people’s Republic of Massachusetts involuntarily for 2 years because of some Nutbag Shrink at Boston Children’s Hospital.

I don’t know why the extract and link don’t match, but I did a google search on some of the extract and came up with the above link, previous post.
That poor kid, to have already been through so much and then be taken away from his family too.
What can we do? What is the best way to proceed? I write my senators and rep a lot, and nothing ever gets accomplished. Perhaps inundating the governor of IL with emails might help?
I know HSLDA has a sister org that supports and advocates legally for parental rights both on an individual basis and as lobbyists, maybe they could help?
Foster home on the South Side of Chicago has a very ominous sound to it, and for a child in intractable pain it sounds hellish.

HSLDA is a good organization, for homeschooling issues, mostly. And Mike Farris has been known to take on cases outside of the homeschooling realm,
but Heritage Defense is more broad based in protecting families from CPS.

More of this is coming. The Obamacare 15 member IPAB board, hand picked by BO can make all medical decisions about our care. The dirty secret written some where in the 2700 pages of lawyer speak, it says no one, not the POTUS, not congress, not a judge, no one can overrule their decisions. Some Senators have just found this out and are scrambling to change it.

In every large city, there is a “Children’s Hospital” run by leftist thugs. If you disagree or offend them in the slightest they will take your children.
In addition, national Pediatric groups and Pediatric colleges are very left wing. Be careful who you take your child to.
