I wouldn’t think this is a question if the child has indeed been made a ward of the state.
What seems real weird is that this happened in a “Ronald McDonald House.” Yes, that McDonald’s. Maybe we should “have it our way” at Burger King instead? (Yes, they have other troubles.)
What is “weird” to me is the state presuming parents don’t have the best intentions for their children. It seems to me some standard of proof, proof where facts and assumptions can be disputed under impartial review can be judged.
