The chokehold death of Eric Garner in NYPD custody wasnt a black-and-white thing, his widow said Sunday a stunning admission that breaks sharply from lawmakers and protesters who have seized on the racial aspect of the case.
Esaw Snipes said she believed her husband was murdered unjustly, but said skin color wasnt a factor behind his fatal arrest for allegedly selling loose cigarettes on Staten Island last summer.

It’s not but yet she’s meeting with and marching with Al Sharpton so anything else she said is irrelevant.
Maybe somebody told her this wouldn’t end well for the black female “sergeant” in charge at the scene...
She’s a rabble-rouser, nothing more.
Good for her. I hope she keeps saying things like this.
He was married? That’s flabbergasting.
It’s not about race. It’s about police, but the media are almost trying to cover for them by pretending it’s a banal white-black issue.
It’s a resisting arrest thing. After ten priors you would think he would know better.
It’s not about the police, it’s about how dangerous and wrong it is to resist police and to act out the fool until dead.
I thought she told Sharpton to stay away.
RE: He was married? Thats flabbergasting
This might be inappropriate, but I can’t help but wonder -— How did she breathe with his 400 pounds on her?
Or maybe it was the other way around...
[Don’t answer that]
I don’t know her, and I haven’t heard her personally. I don’t think it’s black-white, either. I think it’s over draconian and arbitrary taxes based on liberal PC hatred of a legal product they won’t ban outright. It is hypocrisy of the nth degree.
Criminality aside, the victim’s resolution of “enough of this” aside, he died as a result of PC enforcement of a law meant to punish certain legal products and the people that use the.
This doesn’t stop here. Left in control, these zealots will enact or mandate even more draconian arbitrary laws, and people who think freedom means exactly that will die because they’ve simply “had enough.”
Instead of talking about “black-white”, we should be talking about tyrants, IMO.
Really? I am more concerned by the fact that the police have nothing better to do than harass someone over something as inconsequential as a cigarette tax.
Then putting their hands around his neck for daring to not obey the king’s men.
Not to mention liberals who are in charge of the city, from the liberal Mayor, to the liberal city council to the liberal Governor. So when I see the usual “revolutionary” Marxist white college kids with their backpacks and their Occupy Wall street patches protesting, I have to laugh because they are protesting the very type of government THEY support. The Mayor is a hardcore Marxist just like them, so who are they protesting exactly? The Police? Who do they think is responsible for how the police deal with the public? Just why were 4 policemen necessary for a guy who sold just one single solitary cigarette? Because as Ann Coulter says, nothing is more important to liberals than collecting taxes. He was killed for taxes. Same with Ferguson St, Louis, all run by liberals. Liberal Mayor elected to a FOURTH term last year.
Actually it seems to me this should have been an arrest by ATF...Alcohol, TOBACCO, and Firearms. Although in the city of NY, I guess the calls from local stores that he was an issue may have taken it back to their jurisdiction.
The state will not be denied its taxes!
The cops were called because he was harassing the clientele of the stores; he was killed for resisting arrest.
You’re right; how can there be so much discontent from the left in the areas they’ve controlled for so long? What could they possibly be protesting in Oakland?
It is just an extorion attempt for mo’ money (but there is none left).
It’s not. There are enough law-abiding middle class whites that have been victimized by cops. They will join the cause...if it isn’t led by thugs.
Seems Esaw Snipes needs some Liberal Whitey to tell her how to act Black!
