The U.S. Armys plan to conduct an integrated Ranger School assessment in 2015 is looking good interest is so high that the number of female volunteers must be cut to 160 candidates.
All women selected by their commands and units will take part in the two-week Army National Guard Ranger Training and Assessment Course. Those who successfully complete the pre-Ranger course at Fort Benning, Georgia, will then move on to Ranger School, which is held 11 times a year.

USMC took the females for infantry and changed NO standards, specifically to demonstrate it was unworkable.
For Army my prediction is that they’ll send the standards through extreme exotic gymastics, bend them back like gumby, and later declare the results peachy and refreshing.
And everyone will be SUPER pissed-off, including the females who are passed cuz of the PC brass.
You know they will reduce the standards, which further weakens the military.
I simply don’t have the words to express myself at the moment . . .
If the Army does not lower standards then about 100% should fail.
I don’t know if we are in the Twilight Zone, or the queer side of the Looking Glass, but this country has not made much sense in almost ANYTHING it does for the past twenty years.
I hear you. It’s nuts.
I do....we’re seeing the fruits of the diversity movement and the PC movement. It’s going to end up getting a lot of people killed if it keeps up.
My Grandfather who fought the Japs in WWII, would literally have a conundrum at the kind of nation we’ve become. His Father-in-law (my maternal Great-Grandfather), a Colonel in the Army, would have a fit. In the end you got to ask, what did they fight for?
We need kinder and gentler enemies.
Remember the “Green Beret” song?
100 men they test today, only 3 win the Green Beret.
Does anybody believe that even 1 of 160 women could meet the standards those 3 men met?
I just wanted to post this....
It makes plenty of sense, if you just accept that the results are exactly what certain people wanted them to be.
Maybe they will add a sandwich-making phase.
I would love to be a fly on the wall at Ranger Regiment HQs. I can guarantee this is not going down well in the Ranger units, no matter what the Army “leadership” is saying.
However, I've known several Marines, two Rangers and one SEAL. I know I wouldn't last a week in SF. No doubt there are some tough, fit women out there. But the genetic traits of our species are against them. The females of our species tend to be smaller and weaker, period. No amount of feel-good PC babble supporting some agenda is going to change that.
The Army severely weakened jump school for women years back, so we know they’ll do it again.
Active Duty ping.

You can’t tell me they weren’t expecting this. What makes Rangers exempt from the dissembling of our military? Nothing. It’s all going to sh#t. And it’s going to be horrific next time ‘round. It’s going to be like some B-grade movie with people running around shouting, ‘WOLVERINES!’ *SNORT* (Wish I could laugh.)
FWIW, I was in the very first co-ed Army Basic Training Platoon in 1979 at Ft. Jackson, SC. It was VERY tiring, hauling those boys along with us gals all day long! ;)
All of my Drill Sergeants were fresh out of Vietnam. I’m telling you - the things those men taught me are still useful to me every. damn. day. Grateful. :)
