Shut Up About Obama’s Amnesty Plan Unless You Do This One Thing
Red State ^ | December 4th, 2014 | Erick Erickson

Posted on 12/04/2014 8:14:12 AM PST by xzins

You have given up your right to complain about Barack Obama’s amnesty plan.

Just shut up. Stop complaining.

You know why? Because you did not do the one thing that could stop it. You did not call your congressman despite me making it very easy for you to do so.

I’m in Washington, D.C. right now. Last night I had several members of congress tell me that they’re barely hearing from anybody.

So stop your bellyaching about amnesty if you can’t even be bothered to call.

If you aren’t willing to call your congressman and demand he defund amnesty, stop bellyaching about it. Otherwise call now.

Let me know when Erick decides to call upon his fellow conservative media outlets like NRO and Hot Air and tell them that they have no right to complain until they stop carrying Boehner and McConnell’s water and write editorials requesting the Boehner and McConnell step down from their positions. Why don’t you try that Mr. Red State. We working stiff conservatives do all we can to rattle the cages of GOP reps., but every time we do, the conservative media (Fox News, etc.), props up the failing GOP leadership.

I’ve emailed my Senators Jeff Sessions, Richard Shelby and my Congress Critter Mo Brooks. I think their names have been tossed around in the news on this issue. Not much more I can do but to tell them I support them 100%.

It’s good that they know about the support. It is encouragement to know that someone has your back. Keep calling. Excellent job!

Or perhaps the reason the call volume is low is that “We The People”, having sent a strong message with the last election and hearing that the serial capitulation crew (GOP) is going to ignore that message and pursue illegal alien amnesty *anyway*, have lost all faith and confidence in our representatives.

And then there’s this: The plea for calls is coming from a political hack like Erickson — bearing in mind it would probably take a case of dynamite to pry him away from humping the GOP’s leg. I clued in on Erickson a few elections ago with his rabid support for RINOs. That was all I needed to know about him. I find him about as trustworthy as his dream-double-dates: Boehner and McConnell. So, consider the source.

I think the black neighborhoods need to be informed how much money they are spending on the illegals, giving them things not many citizens can get, let alone jobs.

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...

Okay, what do you do when you live in California and your reps are the bluest of blue? They don’t give a rat’s patootie what I think. I’ve always been told that it’s a waste of time to call any reps other than your own, because they only care what their own constituents think. Suggestions for whom to call? Thanks!

2016 contender, Rand Paul, calls on conservatives to embrace the natural constituents of the Republican party.

I guess Rand means these "natural constituents":

Spanish-Language Campaign Ad Calls Tea Party "Radical Terrorists"
Breitbart ^ | Nov. 2, 2014 | Sarah Rumpf / FR Posted by River Hawk

AUSTIN, Texas -- The Bexar County Democratic Party launched a controversial Spanish-language ad during the final week before the November 4 elections, calling tea party Republicans "radical terrorists."

The ad begins showing the American and Mexican flags, with a male narrator saying in Spanish that the flags represent "friendship, liberty, opportunity, and justice," then showing a Gadsden flag with its famous "Don't Tread on Me" motto. The Gadsden flag, which the ad calls "muy peligrosa," or "very dangerous," was designed in 1775 during the American Revolution and has since been adopted as a symbol by various libertarian and tea party groups.

The ad then proceeds to call tea party Republicans "radical terrorists" while showing images of militia members holding guns and wearing camouflage, threatening "our children and families with violence and firearms," urging viewers to "¡Voto Demócrata!"

The full text of the ad, in English: "These two flags represent friendship, liberty, opportunity and justice. This flag is very dangerous. It is the flag of the Republicans of the Tea Party. They are radical terrorists who want to take matters into their own hands, affecting our children and families with violence and firearms on the border and in our cities.

This Tuesday, November 4th, is the day of the election and it’s the only time we can make our voice count. For our common good, Vote Democrat!"

Bexar County Democratic Party Chairman Manuel Medina admitted his organization was responsible for the ad, and claimed credit himself for creating it.

Medina went even further in an interview with the San Antonio Express-News, saying, "The tea party is not a political party. They're a terrorist organization."

The Express-News also reported that the ad was running on Univision, paid for by a $25,000 donation from personal injury attorney Thonas J. Henry. (Excerpt) Read more at breitbart.com ...

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), has set up an active war room dedicated to undermining Obama's plans on immigration, and is next in line to chair the Budget Committee. From that perch, he would have the power to set spending parameters that undermine the president's moves.

> Obama’s amnesty was Planned and put in place long long ago ,it was Obama’s way or Obama’s way no matter what the GOP did

Yep. If you look at the Unaccompanied Alien Child Program I believe it first appeared in 2010. Over the past 4 years they have upped the amounts being paid out to entities involved in facilitating the importation of illegal immigrants into our country but the biggest telling fact was that the funding for these programs jumped dramatically the last year, up to 5 times what it was originally. So pre-planned? You bet. I believe it and other atrocities committed against this country were pre-planned as well and that someone had already written the script for him to follow and that’s exactly what he’s doing. I think we know who wrote “How to Collapse a Country using Communism” script he’s following too.

They’re saying he never signed it. He’s tryingto get what he wants using sleight of hand and deception as usual. If Saul Alinsky weren’t burning in hell right now I’d punch him in the face repeatedly for what he’s done to us.

> You already know that the GOP-E and the Chamber of Commerce is putting tremendous pressure on them. Our doing nothing is not a wise option.

I agree. Complaining and saying that they will not listen is just a cop out. Do SOMETHING. If only one person’s suggestion is taken seriously and it is brought to the floor it could have an impact. Better to do something than nothing. I call it doing the rain dance. Sometimes juat going through the motions seems to make events fall in place to get the end desired result. I don’t understand how it works but I know that it’s a phenomnon I’ve observed in action for a long time now.

Bet you became their favorite person real fast. LOL!

But you raise an interesting point: a viral internet campaign that hammers home that the only ones supporting this anti-middle class worker amnesty are those in the pockets of the big business chamber of commerce and in the pockets of the bigwig party bosses on BOTH the republican and democrat sides would be nice.

Well I got in touch with a real person at his office and told them that I have personally met my senator many times and that he knows me (even if only by face; though I do research and gather info that I pass onto his office and others faily often). It seemed to have a little impact. At least I did my duty and can have a clear conscience that I didn’t just on the sidelines and do nothing.
