On Fox it was announced that Disney apologized that happened but their servers are to block swear words that begin with God..., etc.
The oath form “God, [exclamation]” is common and would need some sophisticated parsing to distinguish from “God, my mother” etc.
Nothing new. Disney has made two new molten and graven images in the form of a mouse and duck, and has declared...”These be the gods that brought you forth out of the Land of Egypt!..”
I used to frequent a website where the filter blocked “Nigerian,” because of its resemblance to “nigger.”
And yes, I did just type the dreaded “n-word,” as I referred to it in a neutral context. I think all sensible adults should.
Nah, just the ones that kept you entertained while you were going back there.
Hey...I just gave you what the apology from Disney said, so I don’t know, if they can or can’t do that.
I remember the “niggardly” scandal.
It meant parsimonious, stingy, miserly and did not even derive from the Latin “niger” (black) but a Scandinavian root “hneggar.”
Didn’t matter, “folk etymology” seized the day.
Computer parsers can be kind of stupid. The form I illustrated is one example of a parser misunderstanding what a human intended. They probably don’t want to pay a moderator to screen technical borderline cases.
“God is used along with profanity and it was censored because of that.”
You could easily set the filter on the profanity and not the word God. I’m not buying Disney’s reply.
It seems like there was a fuss about “negate” at some point, too.
“Gay Days at their theme parks, PG & PG-13 movies,...”
Is there any way to find out when the Gay days occur so your kids don’t see the disgusting exhibitions put on in public. I’ve heard a lot of innocent children have been exposed to behavior in public you wouldn’t allow heterosexuals to do in public, but for some reason Disney allows gays to do in public.
We can’t have any of that negative chat
Absolutely not! Someone should protest!
Maybe the programmatic filter thought it was being used as an expletive. Too many people do use his name that way.
...I believe you are correct...in both your sentences...
Apparently it was the term sissy bar that the paper didnt like.
...I once made a posting to a football site and mentioned the name of Spike Dykes, head coach at the time at Texas Tech...the surname was blocked...
Unfortunately, God is used along with profanity and it was censored because of that.
...seems rather convenient, given our headlong rush into secularism...I think most organizations have more of a problem with theological usage than with the profanity...
It seems like there was a fuss about negate at some point, too.
...wasn’t there some nonsense recently about black holes being racist...?
I saw that, but I can’t remember if it was satire or straight news. Who can tell these days?
Two errors appear to be in the above quote. First, G*d is said to have used the word “abomination”, not the less pejorative “sinner”.
Only if one can accept the philosophical sophistry about a tree falling in a forest where no one hears it makes no noise, can one accept that the presence or absence of G*d changes the societal negative impact of homosexuality.
Actions have consequences, queer acts especially.
Disney has been overrun by faggots.
Fags hate God.
