Earlier this month, Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn was verbally attacked by protesters in his community for being on his cellphone during a Fire and Police Commission meeting related to the officer-involved shooting death of Dontre Hamilton, 31. When reporters confronted Flynn about the cellphone incident after the meeting, he not only revealed that he had a good reason to be on it, but he also went on a tirade about the greatest racial disparity in the city of Milwaukee.
Well I was on my phone, yes. That is true. I was following developments about a 5-year-old girl sitting on her dads lap who just got shot in the head by a drive-by shooting, Flynn said angrily. If some of the people gave a good goddamn about the victimization of people in this community by crime, Id take some of their invective more seriously.
The greatest racial disparity in the city of Milwaukee is getting shot and killed hello! he added.
Now, they know all about the last three people who have been killed by the Milwaukee Police Department in the course of the last several years. Theres not one of them that can name one of the last three homicide victims weve had in this city, Flynn said. But this community is at risk alright, and its not because men and women in blue risk their lives protecting it. Its at risk because we have large numbers of high-capacity, quality firearms in the hands of remorseless criminals who dont care who they shoot.

Video? What video? I have limited bandwidth here. I read the quoted comments.
What came first, or were you too busy emphasizing the hind end of the statement to see the detail he went into against "...large numbers of high-capacity, quality firearms..." before he ever mentioned a criminal.
Who is being selective, now? You had to pass over the part in bold above to get to the criminals.
“Flynn is a premier gun-grabber”
Anyone from Wisconsin, especially the Milwaukee area would know that. His own police force doesn’t like or have faith in him. Don’t understand how one statement got him such a cult following on this thread. Now on the other hand, Sheriff Clarke is the real deal. Says exactly what he means without pandering.
The thinking about this issue is 180 degrees out of phase. Instead of trying to keep guns from outlaws, we should be keeping outlaws from guns (keep them locked up if they're so dangerous).
“He fired the officer who shot the mentally unstable man in Red Arrow Park”
That officer did not follow department procedures:

Indeed, gun control is a fantasy. It will never keep anyone from being armed, good men and criminals alike will always find a way to be armed. If one is too dangerous to possess arms? Then that person should either be locked up or executed, those are the only methods of crime-prevention that have a 100 percent success rate!
Just a guess, but maybe post #1 calling for this guy to run for governor on a conservative site, had some of us fooled...
Ya can't trust anyone....lol
So there ya have it.
the officer was being beaten with his own nightstick
The man was laying on the ground, face down, hands hidden from view, shaking. When the officer approached he didn’t know if it was a medical emergency or if there was a hidden weapon. Prior to approaching him, he did not know he was mentally ill. So Chief Flynn fired the officer for not being psychic. And you agree with that?
Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke (on Cavuto) Youtube video 7:40
Apologies for the video quality.
“The CRIMINAL element in his city is the problem and he
ENABLING community in which they live.”
This sheriff, a black man, happens to be a staunch, fearless supporter of the Nat’l Rifle Assoc.
I assume that you intended to say “the ENABLING community . . ...”

Flynn is in the ‘gun grabber’ mold, no doubt.
Sheriff Clarke provides balance, essentially advising people to ‘tool up’.
Try again later.
—he’s also the C o P who a few years ago promised to have “thrown to the sidewalk” anybody legally open-carrying Milwaukee—even though perfectly legal—
Milwaukee - On Tuesday the family of Laylah Petersen signed messages on pink roses that will be placed on the Donate Life Rose Parade Float..
The five-year-old Petersen was killed on November 6th in her home while sitting on her grandfather's lap..
Her family donated her organs after she was killed..
The Donate Life float carries messages and names of those, who like Laylah, donated organs in order to save the lives of others.
According to the Bloodcenter of Wisconsin, since 2004, the Donate Life Rose Parade Float has served as a memorial to organ and tissue donors and recipients to inspire the world to save and heal those in need through the gift of life.
A family spokesperson said the investigation into who killed Laylah is still ongoing.
