On November 29, 1963, President Lyndon Johnson directed the Warren Commission to evaluate all the facts in the brutal November 22 murder of his predecessor, John F. Kennedy, on a downtown Dallas street in broad daylight. Reduced to its bare essentials, the investigation sought answers to three fundamental questions: Who, why and how?
Why was entirely contingent on who, and that depended on how. Thus, the linchpin of the Warren Reportand every subsequent investigationhas always been precisely how Kennedy was assassinated in Dealey Plaza. That is the finding from which all the important answers flow; mishandle that question and the credibility of the entire report is undermined. The Warren Commissions bungling of how is a primary reason why there have been so many residual doubts and conspiracy theories over the past 50 years.

1. Commies here and abroad used people like Mark Lane to undermine this country.
2. People like to believe in conspiracies.
From day one, the NY Times' Scotty Reston (in an opinion piece on the front page) was spinning it as due to the climate of hatred fostered by right-wingers (just as we saw 40 years later with Gabby Giffords).
What I am sure of is that there was more to this than we’ve ever been told.
I just saw a show on cable TV called something like the Smoking Gun. Their conclusion was that Kennedy was hit initially by something that the first bullet hit and ricocheted into Kennedy, and that the motorcade suddenly sped up, and that a Secret Service agent in the limo behind Kennedy, while reaching for his weapon, lost his balance and that his weapon discharged and hit Kennedy in the head, killing him. Take it for what it’s worth.
I never trust the Feds, period. Warren commission is no exception.
Take your US Federal government and shove it where the sun never shines.
All fine and good but the Dallas PD did all the initial investigation that led to Oswald’s arrest. I’ll trust all the witnesses and physical evidence over lies and obfuscation.
Dorothy L Sayers disagrees with you
You have no idea, said Peter, irrelevantly, how refreshing it is to talk to somebody who has a grasp of method. The police are excellent fellows, but the only principle of detection they have really grasped is that wretched phrase, Cui bono? They will hare off after motive, which is a matter for psychologists. Juries are just the same. If they can see a motive they tend to convict, however often the judge may tell them that theres no need to prove motive, and that motive by itself will never make a case. Youve got to show how the thing was done, and then, if you like, bring in motive to back up your proof. If a thing could only have been done one way, and if only one person could have done it that way, then youve got your criminal, motive or no motive. Theres How, When, Where, Why, and Whoand when youve got How, youve got Who. Thus spake Zarathustra.Look for motive? Only The Shadow knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men.
AIR, he attracted attention because everybody was looking at the police cars, except one man really interested in shoes.
In Decemeber 1960 month before took office Jfk was almost
assassinated by deranged former mailman who was anti Catholic
He would try to ram his car into Kennedy’s when he went to church in Palm Beach Fl. He would then blow up both cars with dynamite
Hesistated at last second when saw Jackie and children in car
Was arresred several weeks later when stalking Kennedy....
They didn’t have much security around in Palm Beach, for example, Bobby would go to church alone, and you could get pretty close to JFK when he played golf at the Breakers.
I think that a lot of people forget how anti-Catholic this country was at the time. (still is...somewhat. But not nearly as bad as in the 60’s)
More Newsweak lies. The Warren Commission was supposed to cover up Oswald’s connection to Castro because Johnson didn’t want Americans clamoring for war with Cuba.
Kennedy should have stuck with the plan at the Bay of Pigs, instead if trying to assassinate Castro.
That article was just tortuous to read. If Marines are trained to shoot at the earliest shot possible, Oswald would have shot down into the limo as it approached the Depository......before it turned onto Elm St. He would have had a full city block with a slow moving target to take several shots if he needed to....”he” didn’t.
The Zapruder film and physics prove that Oswald did not kill the President. The fatal shot shows JFK’s head being thrown violently to the left-rear of the limo. Blood and brain tissue from the shot sprayed the left-rear of the trunk of the limo and the windshield and face of the motorcycle cop riding at the left-rear of the car. Jackie retrieved a piece of the President’s skull in her frantic climb onto the trunk and handed it to people at Parkland. THAT is not consistent with a shot from above and behind. It IS consistent with a shot from the right-front of the limo, ie.....The Grassy Knoll.
Additionally, a piece of JFK’s skull, was found in the grass in an exact trajectory from the Knoll.
Film doesn’t lie. Physics doesn’t lie.
People with agendas DO lie....
Jack Ruby the Saturday before he shot Oswald that Sunday morning went with a friend and took a picture of a billboard in the Dallas area that read: “Impeach Earl Warren”

Means nothing but is interesting. Photo at link.
Well, I don’t necessarily agree with your other statements but that exact thought about why Oswald didn’t shoot the Prez. head-on I thought of immediately as well. Newsweek dropped the ball on that for sure.
Two things that have always bothered me and the government’s version of what happened is:
1. Why would Oswald use that worthless POS Carcano when he was trained with the Garand.
2. Oswald was arrested 75 minutes after Kennedy’s shooting. In those 75 minutes, he got out of the Book Depository, went home, set out on foot a movie theater, shot Officer Tibbetts, get in an argument in the shoe store and was picked out for the police by the shoe store manager in a dark theater. All in 75 minutes! Right!
“Well, I dont necessarily agree with your other statements......”
And you don’t have to, but if you watch the film and read the testimony, it’s all there.........
