There are new fears of a possible Ebola outbreak in New York City after a woman who was being monitored for the deadly virus dropped dead on Tuesday afternoon.
FDNY activated the Special Operations and Hazmat units after the the woman, who had traveled to Guinea three weeks ago according to a source on the scene, died at Amy Professional African Hair Braidig in the Brownsville area of Brooklyn.
An eyewitness who saw the body said there was blood coming from her 'face, nose and mouth.'

What? The quarantine only affects health care workers?
Voluntary monitoring. How's that working for you NY?
Paging the Ebola Nurse.
The phrase “mental hygiene” is bizarre enough, without having a New York City department with that in its name.
If she went to West Africa to attend a funeral , I would be even more concerned . Ebola symptoms develope anywhere from 2- 42 days after exposure, average symptoms 2-12 days ,according to latest guidlines from WHO(World Health Organization).
“Ebola death doesnt seem to come on suddenly.”
There are 300 strains/mutations. Could this be the suddenly drop dead and bleed strain?
"Did you try CPR?" LOL!
I’ve had that malaise thing going on since the Carter years
Theres a difference between a “heart attack” ( AMI) and Cardiac Arrest.
Don’t know about this case, but in some articles, the only “monitoring” is phone calls from public health workers.
One can only hope.
While the details as given don’t sound like Ebola, still it is better not to take chances. I have written previously that Ebola might be successfully treated by high doses of intravenous and oral Vitamin C. Apparently the first thing the virus does is wipe out all C stores in the body, so you have instant end stage scurvy. Tissues fall apart and victim bleeds out. I recently read in the 2006 World Book Science Year that it had been discovered that American black with Sierra Leon ancestry had a higher rate of premature births. It seemed to be related to fragility of the collagen holding the womb together. Perhaps this is why those from in and near Sierra Leon are especially susceptible to this virus. Check out Dr. Frederick Klenner, Dr. Cathcart and Dr. Linus Pauling for more info on potential for Vitamin C as treatment of Ebola and other hemmorhagic fevers.
Most people with Ebola don’t die from bleeding, but from dehydration leading to hypovolemic shock and organ failure.
Simple rehydration solutions might make a big difference in survival rates, constant replenishment of fluids before shock sets in.
If you can link to any studies suggesting that Vitamin C depletion is a factor in Ebola disease, I would appreciate it.
"Is Ebola back in New York?
One can only hope."
Why would you say something like that?
Curious to learn why you hope countless innocents might be exposed to a horrific disease.
Homegirl died while gettin' her weave on?
DAAAAAAMN.
As the White House might respond:
"Hey Dude that was the news cycle nearly two weeks ago."
"Let it go.. we've now moved on to Amnesty for Illegals."

Not much. It only runs out profusely when the heart is still beating or there is contemporaneous trauma transecting or perforating major vessels or organs.
People who die of heart failure die because their heart quit. BP=0/0
That's more than a 'double face-palm' worth of stupid, imho.
The pre-election quarantine on Ebola news seems to have dropped dead.
