If I were the governor I would issue my own executive order that everyone applying for public assistance MUST show proof of citizenship. Those already on public assistance would be required to provide the same proof within 30 days.

“The steps that must be taken are clear: the Senate must vote on the House-passed measure to stop these unlawful actions. It is true that Majority Leader Reid is blocking it from a vote. But Reid acts only with the blessing of his members in the Democrat conference — so the American people have the power to force it to a vote through their elected senators,” Sessions said.

I would take the view that qualifying illegal aliens for benefits would be a violation of the Anti-Deficiency Act, and that Obama would be personally liable.

Alarmed at Republican gains among minority voters as the Democrats were “shlonked” at the polls, Roberts insisted “The Democrats have got to do something fast on immigration to get back those votes because they’re never going to get the white vote.”
