It's my understanding that in addition to holding the majorities in both houses of congress, the Republicans now hold something like 30 governorships and control 66% of all state legislatures. If this is true, it would appear that the socialist/progressive Democrat Party's hold over the people is finally breaking and the star of freedom is rising.

Question: why should we think that the Republican party is not a progressive, statist party?
After all, they did push Romney in `12; and they've rolled over on many sure-win issues (IRS, NSA, etc); and they've given indication that they want amnesty.

In short, I think it's probably a big mistake to equate Republican with liberty/freedom/justice/responsibility/accountability.

Unfortunately, I don't trust them anymore.  It would be nice to have a clear item by item "to do list" for them and hammer them with it.  Instead of filling out their questioners with 'agree', 'agree', 'agree' and then donate (which I don't do anymore), I would prefer to send them the "to do list" and every time they accomplish one item from that list I will send them a donation.  No accomplishment = no donation and no vote for them.

Be careful what happens to a wild animal when it is cornered - it strikes out wildly and wicked. Obama is like a wild animal - his agenda is being threatened from all sides and strike he will, when he strikes though he has his fingerprints on everything thaty happens. Obama will porobably create his own downfall. Be prepared for President Joe Biden, as Obama ends up in a psychiatric facility.

Which, by the way, is why it is wise for FR to carry a section on faith matters, even if it is called “Religion” (I would plead that is a somewhat misleading term).

There is no way to complete the picture without God over it all, or one nation under God becomes only one nation under without God.
