--SNIP-- Gruber said during an event at Simmons College in February. Ted Kennedy had managed to figure out a way to rip off the federal Medicaid program to the tune of about $500 million a year through a series of strange manipulations.
Here was Mitt Romneys dirty little secret that we dont like to talk about in Massachusetts, which is the way we passed our law is the federal government paid for it.
George Bush said why am I sending this Democrat $500 million a year, Im taking it back, Gruber explained, adding Mitt Romney to his credit went to George Bush and said, look, can we keep the money if we use it for universal coverage. And Bush to his credit said yes.

Just keep printing money. Than everything is free
Was GWB opposed? Of course not. He expanded federal medicine with Medicare Part D. Both political parties wanted to control medicine, perhaps for different reasons.
This story has the advantage of undermining Romney’s thoughts of running again.
“Hey Mitt, Why did you ask Bush if you could keep the $500 Million a year that Ted Kennedy STOLE FROM MEDICARE?”
Not only are we going to need more rope, we're gonna need a rope factory. There, I just created more jobs than Obama.
Correct. One is stupid, the other evil.
Yep... this will likely make up Romney’s mind for him.
How thoughtful of W to give $500,000,000 tax dollars to MA to save RomneyCare from bankruptcy. This is why we hate “politics as usual.” Of course, all Texas conservatives knew that W was never a conservative, so this comes as no surprise.
Romney can get off the GOPe bandwagon for ‘16 now. The wheels have just come off.
I like the part where a rich state such as mass can’t afford the system so now we have to let a broke federal system do it.....I want to live in that world where everything is affordable to the us government.
Last year I asked one of our local (Mass.) waitresses what Romney care cost her per month .
She told me it was $12/mo. for her plan. Which she used on a regular basis.
I sensed it had to be a Federally subsidized plan, since the rates in Mass. didn't spike. - Tom
“Was GWB opposed? Of course not.”
He campaigned as the compassionate conservative. Got him two terms. Just sayin.
My sense is if we gave a constitutional test to all the elected individuals in the imperial federal government and the SC judges, about 2% would get a passing grade of 70%.
In contract law there is some precedent that says the written word supersedes anything not in writing. IMO, the Constitution was a written agreement between the states and the newly formed imperial federal empire. I think it means what it says, not what someone who is part of the imperial state says it means or implies. In its forming it clearly says anything not stated is left to the states and people to decide. That time is NOW.
He just couldn’t help himself, “The Pro from Dover”. Always in on the know and behind anything substantively devious at best, IMO. An ego that won’t let his mouth stay closed. It will put him in prison.
Seems to me, money given can be money taken away. Why has this not been removed in each year’s budget??
He made his career suing doctors and medical companies and a woman I go to church with thinks he's going to be the savior of her medical care.
I would dearly love to discover that Jr. was involved in what Sr. did in MA. I will start looking....
Massachusetts. What a dramatic decline from the heroic acts to make us a country. Now it’s a worthless piece of dog doodoo of a state.

Private Obamacare investigator says more bad news coming
My thoughts, too. Lots of questions surround the timing of the release...
Where have these tapes been? And who had them?
Obviously Gruber was taped by someone who knew what he did regarding 0care, knows his ego, and had access to the meetings as a friendly source.
Revenge of Hillary? She gets the last laugh with Obama for taking what was “rightfully” hers...plus the added bonus of knocking Mitt Romney out of the 2016 campaign.
