Rep. Dave Brat (R-Va.), who shockingly toppled former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) in a primary this summer, says he'll support John Boehner (R-Ohio) for Speaker.
Brat told The Hill he plans to vote for Boehner on the floor in January when the Speaker is elected by the full House for the new Congress.
"As of right now, yeah," Brat said. "I'm optimistic our leadership's going to move forward on the principles I ran on."

I really thought by now, there would be ‘tons’ of ambitious republicans wanting to take Boehner’s place and cement their name in history. Are they that afraid of Liberals calling them nasty names? That will happen regardless of what actions the gop takes or does not take. Something about that job under this administration that makes it a most thankless position, unless you are someone who enjoys a good and righteous fight with the opposition.

What else he could have said at this point in the game? Maybe “hell no, I’m not voting for Crybaby “Where’s mah beer” Boehner?” Wouldn’t be prudent......
(He seems to have left himself a little wiggle room.)

Machiavelli said that if you strike at the king, you must kill him. A failed attempt to remove Boehner would destroy careers, including some new and promising careers. It's too big a risk to take unless you're sure you have the political capital and the votes to do it.
Sam Rayburn once said, "You have to go along to get along." It's how the system works. If Boehner blows opportunities to advance the party's cause. then it will be time for dissatisfied congressmen to shoot for better leadership.

it really seems plausible; the Washington Establishment Party, "the more things
change, the more they remain the same" mindset is forever..except if they can go
further to the dark-side..Marxism. to put it bluntly, throw all of them (Establishments) out on their @$!
..we shall not be marginalized.

Folks, it seems JUST A BIT PREMATURE to give up on Dave Brat and the Republican caucus that will be in office in January 2015. Let’s see how this plays out. Defeatism is not a good strategy or plan.

We need to be focused on exposing any secret demons in Boner’s personal life. DailyKos is convinced he has carried on an affair with a lobbyist Lisa Lyons. Conservatives in the Congressional staff need to come forward and help expose any evidence they may have, along with any other dirt that might bring him down. There is no path to defeating him. He is like Joe Straus in TX, supported by RINOs and Democrats alike. Obama loves having him right where he is.
