Controversy After Eminem Drops More Than a Dozen F-Bombs on National Mall During ‘Concert for Valor’

Individuals turned to Twitter following Eminem’s performance on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to both defend and express outrage over the rapper’s flagrant use of the F-bomb at The Concert for Valor.

The Michigan-born rapper riddled his HBO-streamed performance with curse words at the concert aimed at supporting U.S. servicemen and women.

“Happy motherf***ing Veterans Day,” Eminem shouted into the microphone.

Users on Twitter were quick to react, with some defending the rapper’s use of profanity and others criticizing his word choice.

The fact that we have made things like this filthy skank an idol is proof of how far America has fallen.

Event producers forgot the first rule of performances and speeches:

KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE AND PERFORMERS

If you're hiring Eminem to do a show, you KNOW that there will be offensive content. That's what the guy built his career on; I still remember the deer-in-the-headlights look he had when interviewed on live TV for some awards show, as he was being adulated by the very people he spent much time denigrating & insulting in his music up to that point. He's famous and popular BECAUSE (among other talents) he's prolifically profane.

If your audience will be a sober/somber/respectful group, you DON'T put on a performer whose every 4th word is profanity.

LOL

The worst is the affected dialect. It’s truly pathetic.

Years ago I was switching around the dial and landed on a Dr. Phil show. He was listening to one of these types speak. When the guy finished, Phil said, “First of all, let me ask you a question. Do you understand that you’re white?”

It was not actually an Eminem concert. This was billed as a concert to salute the military on Veterans’ Day, so perhaps many military parents assumed that it would be a family-friendly show.

Thanks, Aurorales, for pointing out the anti-war song sung by Bruce Springenstein and his fellow musical shouters on stage at this patriotic gathering to honor our nation's military dead, wounded and missing going back to colonial times.

I'm surprised and disgusted that along with featuring the potty-mouth "group" this additional sabotage by another classless "group" wasn't mentioned in the Blaze' article above.

Are there any traditions, institutions, organizations and events that the marxists, anti-American radicals and foul-mouthed scum haven't infiltrated....and are getting away with!!!

Did they not advertise the performers?

I can’t picture this type of military appreciation concert happening 50 years ago. Boy, have we changed.
