School officials in one Wisconsin town have taken irrational fears of firearms to a new low. According to WEAU, the Eau Claire School District has cancelled their annual Veteran’s Day Program because they’re worried about “uneasiness” over the traditional 21 gun salute.
Keep in mind a Veteran’s Day 21 gun salute uses blanks. And those blanks are fired from show piece guns that are mechanically altered so that they can not fire real bullets. And keep in mind, that 21 gun salute, and those blanks, and those show piece guns are used by military veterans – men and women who would lay down their lives in service to others.
My Canadian aunt’s sister flipped out over a saber arch at my military cousin’s wedding.

While doing research on a ships crew ran across the daughter of one of the CO’s and she said she had went to the Change of Command Ceremony and the CO(her father) and his relief were wearing their traditional swords.
She claims she must have seen too many Errol Flynn movies as when she saw her father walk to the podium she figured there was going to be a duel or something of that nature.
Difference between her and THESE MODERN idiots, is she was about 8 years old in 1958 when this ‘incident’ took place.
And probably had more common sense at 8 than the school board members and your aunt’s sister.

I agree. It’s especially frightening because she’s supposed to be an intelligent doctor. But who knows if that counts for anything in Canada.
This isn’t about irrational fears. This is about indoctrinating children to fear guns so as to make the possession and use of guns by anyone other than the government socially illegitimate.
The gun free school zone laws have always been about the indoctrination of children. They have never been about safety. School shooting have gone up since the law was passed.

What do you expect from the liberal bastion of Eau Claire. The place is nuts. It is far removed from Milwaukee and Madison by geography, but it has nut jobs whom are on the school board. Lets face it there will be a lot more of this garbage to come about in years to come. The 60s hippie generation is now in power, peace love and stupidity will solve everything.
‘Political Correctness’ is the same as ‘Cultural Marxism’. ‘Cultural Marxism’ was one of the terns coined by Lenin, but modified for American use to ‘Political Correctness’ to make it more palatable.
Never fail to remind those who use the term or practice ‘Political Correctness’ of its origins and implications.
Next time a gun grabber accuses me of paranoid fear, I think I’ll show them this.

This whole damn county has lost it mind. As a veteran who served this country (honorably I might add) I am outraged with the Eau Claire school boards decision. It would appear that Californians have invaded Wisconsin, the state I live in. God help us all. Every veteran I know should jump on this and make it known we are NOT HAPPY!
This is no longer the country I fought to protect.

How do these “educators” teach about wars in history? Do they use sanitized history books showing the storming of Normandy beaches with soldiers carrying bunches of flowers?
In the meantime, as our children are learning fear of guns, ISLAMIC children are being taught how to wear suicide vests, proficiency at assault weapons and hatred for Americans. Unfortunately, they will meet someday.
