To the new breed of Democrat African-American, civil rights seems to really mean different laws and preferential treatment for them than the rest of the country. I find it interesting that they seem to want to have a reverse of the old Jim Crow South as the law of the land. Beware that the states have authorized the feds to protect only those rights enumerated in the Constitution by the states as evidenced by wording in the 13th and 14th Amendments and the four voting rights amendments.
All too often we hear about “generic” civil rights being violated, such as implied protection from alleged police brutality, such “rights” not necessarily based on constitutionally enumerated protections. Such so-called rights are being trumpeted by corrupt politicians and activist judges likely to win support for both RINOs and Democrats from low-information voters who have probably never been taught about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers.
