#30 Prelude: After the Gold RushNeil Youngs high tenor voice always grated on me because when he sang solo, it reminded me of a cat being strangled. But his voice blended perfectly when combined with Crosby, Stills and Nash. He was also a fine songwriter.
This song, sung a capella, comes across better than Youngs version and sounds like the national anthem of a small Balkan nation that got invaded a lot. Its stunning.
