Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday provided a straightforward postmortem on the sweeping defeat her party suffered at the polls two days before: Democrats didn't win, she said, because Democrats didn't vote.
In a 75-minute call with the members of her caucus, the minority leader acknowledged the Democrats' "terrible year" but argued that low voter participation not the party's message was the root of the problem.
She's vowing an all-out push to get more voters of all political persuasions to the polls in the future, and called this effort part of Congress's "moral responsibility." "Next year has to be the year to expand the universe of people who vote. I'm concerned that eligible voters did not vote in the election this year," Pelosi told her troops, according to a source on the call.

I would say, taking into consideration all that has gone on in Congress, saying they lost because Democrats hadn't voted is not all that is unimpeachable in Washington, DC.
To hear what she has to say, the dour look on her politically weather beaten old puss is a joy to behold.
In the real world of causality, the quality of a message encourages a larger quantity of support.
But in Pelosi’s twisted vision, arm-twisting a larger quantity of support defines the quality of the message.
Yap, those democrats did not vote because they could not find their ID cards on election day. Nancy, you are such a moron.
Obama’s Silent Majority:
To everyone that voted, I want you to know that I heard you, to two-thirds of voters that chose not to participate in the process yesterday, I hear you, too.
As if the Left didn’t do every single thing in it’s power to get out the legal vote, and then some.
Pelosi, here’s a clue for ya. Lets see if you can figure out the answer.
If your people aren’t motivated to go out and vote, whose fault is it, theirs or yours?
Republicans go out and vote because of our quality of character. Perhaps you should improve the character of your party, and folks would go out on their own to support you.
I’m betting some Democrats voted republican and are afraid to out themselves.
That’s the talking point for the left. I’ve been watching all the drones repeat the low turnout on Facebook and how it was just big-money the bought the election. Since a majority didn’t even vote it doesn’t mean anything. What a bunch of morons.
Obama is such a nit-wit.
Democrats go out and register everything that moves.
Republican registration takes place because Republicans are motivated to go out and vote as a civic duty. Conservative people seek out registration and then follow through.
Democrats, many times having the largest registration rolls, see a larger portion of their people take a pass on voting.
LOL. Yeah, and when a movie bombs at the box office, it's because the people didn't go - not because the movie was horrible.
They got obamaphones last time. Demos need to step up and offer some more cheese.
“... to two-thirds of voters that chose not to participate in the process yesterday, I hear you, too.
I did not know that disgust was audible. Those Bat $hit Crazy RATs “teach” us something every day!
Gee, Nancy. Can't count on your zombie voters?!
Bad.
In the Second Republic, men vote at 21, women at 30, only owners of property worth at least $10 000, and no net recipients of government funds, including salaried employment from the jurisdiction in question.
Proof positive, once again, that Liberalism is a mental disorder.
No, you lost because you and the rest of your ilk are STUPID!
Uh...Nancy, it’s because YOU gave them everything to vote AGAINST and NOTHING to vote FOR.
and where is Hillary? Has she said anything about the election yet?
I would venture to guess that there just may have been a little Divine Intervention taking place.
I know if I were a liberal and the machines ended up putting the R's over the top I would be royally p!$$ed.
They can't complain to the state commissioner when they know they calibrated the vote their way.
