Detroit homeowner Sarah Hamilton wanted to sell her house, but was having some trouble.

No, it wasn’t a down seller's market -- it was a squatter...

But things got more interesting after WJBK reporter Charlie LeDuff entered the picture. He met with the homeowner and her attorney, and was given a set of keys and the proper paperwork...

This kind of crap is going on in New York city, ANOTHER city run 100% by liberals. A elderly woman has been trying to evict an Obama son for doing the same thing. Remember when something like this use to be called “fraud” and “breaking and entering”? Now they are called “tenants”.

Funny. Looks like the reporter has a lot of fun with his job.

And what's more a man pretending to be a woman, on probation collecting "disability". And I would expect a whole bunch of other "entitlements".

We are so hosed as a country and as a society.

The investigative reporter in the video solicits for more squatting cases. Should be recommended to others with this problem.

But that was one of Obama’s children, so Holder will be on this like Democrats in excrement. It’s kinda’ like illegals squatting in our country while Obama gives them the keys and a free ride.

There was a guy in the Cincinnati area taking over vacant homes that were for sale. He was even holding classes teaching his brothers how to break in and change the locks and register their “deeds”. They final caught him and threw him in jail.
That woman’s excuses were straight out of the liberal playbook weren’t they?

I approve of sending that squatter (thief) to prison. I also approve of calling inn a biker gang to ‘solve’ the problem, or of other permanent solutions to this form of theft. It’s better when the government does its job and puts these people in prison, but when government falls short, people have a moral right to recover their property through any decisive action needed to resolve the problem and return the home to its rightful owner.

What happens - legally - if two different squatters claim the same house?

Do the “laws” that support squatter rights have some way of resolving the “ownership” issue?

If it was my house, I’d pay a bunch of high school kids to move in and drive the current squatter nuts.

He/She would have no privacy and would have to stand guard day and night because the kids might steal or damage her possessions.

We had the same thing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area a few year back. I’m not sure what finally happened to him.

If I found an intruder in my home, I would shoot them. As the only living witness, my story would be that I feared for my life.

This is going on not only in Detroit but in hundreds of cities and towns all over this country. We had one file a false deed of ownership and claimed he purchased the $300,000 property for $20.00 silver dollars (Posse Comitatus ) . Needless to say jail time is pending.

Someone tell Charlie LeDuff about the squatter in the WH.
He doesn't have legitimate papers either.

The reporter is wearing a bathrobe from the Westin Hotel. I wonder if he bought it from them.

This was hilarious. He accomplished in 10 minutes what the courts would have taken a year to do.

Gee, don't announce your intentions before the deed! That's premeditated murder! Freezer, Sawzall, garbage bags, small fishing boat - with plenty of beer. And don't blab.
