I thoroughly enjoyed Election Night 2014. It was the first time I have smiled, albeit wanly, in four long years.
I savored every second of it. Watching Nunn and Carter fall in my home state of Georgia, was particularly delightful. I had bad feelings about both those races. I followed the entire night as the ratio of Perdue to Nunn voters -- hovering around 55% to 43% -- refused to budge, no matter how liberal the county that released its results.
Then to watch the gratifying or surprising wins:
It was a remarkable and satisfying night. As one commentator put it, "It was as if a case of mass sanity broke out all over America."
So, we enjoy this win. We relish in this rare victory.
But please, dear friend, make no mistake: Evil things, this way come.
Barack Obama is very out of control after this election. He is seriously mentally ill with a severe Malignant Narcissist disorder, and these sort of people lash out with deadly force when they are cornered or denied their way.
The things we KNOW he intends are scary enough.
This is what we *know* of, at present. Any one of these would be horrific, but there are three malevolent responses on the horizon.
Obama hated America to begin with. Now he despises us and would like us to feel great pain. He is a malevolent and thoroughly evil man, and if his public face is as sinister as the three issues I brought up, imagine the things he plans that are below the horizon.
Yes, we won, and it was gratifying..... but we have very severe, very hard times ahead. Obama wants payback, and he will have it.
Yet, it is your tagline that more accurately describes my 'hitting life'.
(You'll get nothing and like it!)
LOL! As Slick Willy famously said: “I feel your pain!”
Agreed. Eyes open...
Don't be goaded.
Wan, weak, and watery---that's me. I can be happy for the states who elected conservatives while reluctantly coming to terms with the fact that three blue spots on my state's otherwise red map apparently have all the voting power.
These Republicans better do what the people hired them to do. Compromising and playing at being gentlemen ain't going to cut it. It's time to get real.
I like the number 275...can I be number 275?
I think this was known thousands of years ago:
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.
― Marcus Tullius Cicero
In a way, I actually hope Obama DOES Executive-Order the amnesty.
That way, the history of this country will observe that it was THIS MAN who destroyed the United States of America.
Having no legal authority to do so would mean that there's a door open for counter-attack, the question is whether or not Congress will have the guts to seize it — especially since it would have interesting consequences.
I do appreciate the ping, Sir Laz. ... BTW, Hagan was exposed as being involved in the IRS thuggery, yet look how many in NC either did not know about it or didn’t care and voted for the “D” anyway. America is in a precarious position. The Republicants had better change their ways and really legislate to restore the economy while dealing with the increasing debt load which promises to completely destroy this Republic ... or We The People will get screwed yet again and perhaps for the last time by the cheating, lying, degenerate oligarchs who want America to be no more.
Very good Essay, Laz!
Now if sanity returned last night, will sanity be continued? There’s no doubt Obama will try, but it is up to the opposition party to actually oppose him. Will they fight?
Rush said yesterday that some Republicans didn’t want to be to confrontational with Obama because the media will call them racists—as if any challenge to the ideas of a black person were about race and only race.
When, not if, the media brings up such a call, we need to fight it tooth and nail! We cannot be like George W. Bush and simply take it without fighting back. We need to be like New Gingrich and body slam the biased media when they do so. And every Republican needs to stick together on this and fight the charge by at least calling it racism—because it is. Saying that the opposition opposes confrontational ideas due only to racism is racist.
BRAVO, Laz! You nailed it. Very dark days are ahead. Ain’t no doubt about it.
Can you say Cruz/Ernst 2016? I knew you could.
You are right, of course. Unless God brings him down. We must all fall on our knees and ask the Lord to spare us from the destruction this evil man has/will cause.
“And my people, upon whom my name is called, being converted, shall make supplication to me, and seek out my face, and do penance for their most wicked ways: then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 (Douay-Rheims 1899)
(Lest anyone wonder what the wicked ways are, among other things, +55M children have been killed by abortion since 1973. Since we cannot change the law right now, we must do penance for it and work to change hearts and minds so that it will one day be purged from our great country. Let’s not forget that Obola voted twice [or was it three times?] against the Survivors of Abortion Act when he was a member of the Illinois Senate.)
Excellent and concise review.
Hit it!
When ae find our Newt equivalent, we must, with great passion and effort, throw our collective support behind that person.
Lol!
ROTFLMAO! !!
She definitely left her mark!
OUTSTANDING point. Why is it that I keep forgetting about God????
Why, we should Cruz right up to such a person and support him. ;)
