Republicans pick up 2 more Senate seats in Montana, Colorado, Fox News projects [GOT MAJORITY!]

Fox News projects that Republicans are making another two pick-ups in the battle for the Senate. This brings their total so far to five, with just six needed to take control of the Senate.

In Montana, Republican Steve Daines is projected to defeat Democrat Amanda Curtis, flipping control of the seat to the Republican Party for the first time since 1913.

In Colorado, GOP Rep. Cory Gardner is projected to oust first-term Democratic Sen. Mark Udall, one of the most closely watched contests in this election cycle

Republicans have picked up three Senate seats, Fox News projects, bringing them halfway to the six seats needed to take the majority.

In the latest pick-up, Fox News projects that South Dakota Republican Mike Rounds will beat Democrat Rick Weiland and independent Larry Pressler to replace retiring Democratic Sen. Tim Johnson.

GOP Rep. Tom Cotton also will unseat two-term Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor in Arkansas and Shelley Moore Capito will beat Democrat Natalie Tennant for an open Senate seat in West Virginia, Fox News projects.

In another key win, Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell won re-election to his Kentucky seat.

In a setback for Republicans, Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen will beat Republican challenger Scott Brown, Fox News projects. It was one of the most closely watched races in the country.

But overall, it's a strong start to the night for Republicans as returns continue to come in.

In Kentucky, McConnell defeated Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes, Kentucky's secretary of state. This is a big win for Republicans because Kentucky was one of the few states where Democrats thought they had a chance of flipping a Senate seat from red to blue.

As of this post time:

Senate: Republicans have locked up 46 seats, ahead in six more
Senate: Democrats have locked up 40 seats, ahead in two more

House: Republicans have locked up 164 seats, ahead in 43
House: Democrats have locked up 100 seats, ahead in 26

Governors: Republicans have locked up 18 seats, ahead in 8
Governors: Democrats have locked up 11 seats, ahead in 6

I would like to invite folks to use the Los Angeles Times Senate, House, and Nationwide State Gubantorial candidate breakdowns.  It's a fairly good indicator of where things are headed.

Note: Make sure ALL is selected.  Then you can click on Senate, House, or Governors

These categories show current wins and gains.
(Ex: Republican = 44 +4 / Democrats = 38+2)  correction Note: + denotes leading in that many reaces in addition to already won

I am not celebrating yet..

Lots of inner democrat precincts holding back... maybe they're waiting to see how many votes are needed to push a democrat to a win.

I know, I don't trust them. I see the dems setting us up for a big let down and then claiming since they control the senate it gives them a mandate to do what ass clown Obama wants
