Biden Blows Greg Orman's Cover: He 'Will Be With Us'
weekly standard ^ | 11/4/14 | Daniel Halper

Vice President Joe Biden blew Kansas independent Greg Orman's cover in a radio interview today. Orman hasn't stated which party he'll caucus with in the Senate--actively avoiding announcing whether he'll be with Republicans or Democrats--but Biden stated definitively that Orman "will be with us" if he's elected.

If Roberts ends up being defeated, I would say Kansas voters were snookered into believing that Orman

I'd say it was mora a case that the Kansas voters were no longer fooled by Roberts than they were fooled by Orman. Orman's a Democrat. There isn't a single individual in the state who hasn't figured that out by now. But Roberts is the poster child for everything people detest about career politicians; his phoniness, his complete lack of interest in his constituents, his feeling of entitlement, the fact that he doesn't care about his job enough to do it well. Maybe they're just tired of getting crap candidates shoved down their throat election after election and figure Oram is the lesser pile of crap?

I see you are on a Kansas thread again to crap all over Roberts. He isn’t even your representative but you hit all his threads to bash him or downplay him.

Look, we know he’s not perfect, hell, no politician is, but he is a far better alternative to putting a person in like Orman that will be at 0bama and Reid’s disposal. 0bama, Reid, and their ilk, like Orman is what is wrong with America but continue to come to every Roberts to downplay him when the most important thing is to get the Senate back and keep as many conservative seats that we can, to get this country back on a Constitutional track.

Orman will definitely not be that guy. Even though Roberts is not perfect, it is definitely a step in the right direction to getting this country back on track and I plan to vote that way here in the next hour or so.

When it comes to issues that a voter cares about, such as the Second Amendment, the Right to Life, building the Keystone pipeline, traditional marriage, Obamacare, etc...there is no question that Roberts’ views and positions on these and just about every other issue are closer to the views of most Kansans than they are to Orman’s views. It isn’t even close.

There is something really weird about Kansas this year. And it just isn’t pertaining to Pat Roberts. Sam Brownback is one of the best governors in the nation IMHO, up there with Scott Walker. He has cut tax taxes, cut spending and made Kansas more prosperous than most states and it also has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the entire nation. And yet Brownback is deep trouble too. So go figure. Neither Roberts or Brownback should be any trouble IMHO. Kansas is one of the most Republican states in the entire nation. It has not voted for a Dem presidential candidate since 1964. It has not for a Dem US Senate candidate since 1932. Are Brownback and Roberts perfect? Of course not. No one is. But they are VASTLY preferable to their liberal opponents by any measure imaginable. I do think in the end Brownback and Roberts will win re-election as the voters come to the obvious conclusion that the alternatives are MUCH WORSE in every regard.

“Independents” are just gutless bleepholes who don’t have the nerve to admit they’re dimokratz. Every single one of them. Poster boy Bernie Sanders never ever voted against anything teddy kenedy proposed. The notion that one would “cockus” with whoever had the power is just another admission of a lack of core anything. They need to be called out and shamed into oblivion in every case. And BTW-—I would never want an independent to be my wingman. I’d rather go by myself-—Semper Fi.

It’s pretty easy to explain, we have local medias that are in the tank for liberals and democrats. That’s how we got Sebelius. I’ve seen it first hand. Plus, I do think the DUmmies and KOSmunists have hit us hard on the local social medias just like this place has been hit from time to time to downplay or bash Roberts and try to influence this election. Hell, on a national scale, it worked for electing 0bama twice.

Like I said Pat Roberts is not perfect, but the liberals use our own good standards against us. Roberts is so far better on Conservatism, and has a track record to prove it, than Orman would ever be.

People in Kansas should have known this before Biden confirmed it.

Very shameful that many had the wool pulled over their eyes, there is no hope for some apparently

I see you are on a Kansas thread again to crap all over Roberts. He isn’t even your representative but you hit all his threads to bash him or downplay him.

I don't live in Mississippi or Kentucky and I'm not thrilled with Corchran or McConnell either.

So why are so many of your fellow Jayhawks looking at St. Pat of Dodge City and, if polls are correct, deciding to look in another direction? Kansas hasn't elected a Democrat as senator for upwards of 100 years. Nobody is snowed by Orman or his "I'm the independent candidate" crap. But this time tomorrow he may well be on his way to Washington and I'm wondering why you think that is? What with Roberts being such a peach and all.

Orman will definitely not be that guy.

Neither is Roberts. Or McConnell. Or Cochran. Or McCain. Or Graham. Or any of the other GOP leadership. So if you're looking for seismic change with the Republicans taking over the Senate and a hard turn back to Constitutional government then head on back to Oz, Dorothy, cause it ain't happening here.

For Brownback I think it's part overreach and part payback. His tax cuts haven't created the jobs and the revenue that he projected. The state has run a deficit the last couple of years and is projected to run an even larger one next year. He's had to cut education and infrastructure and everything else, and still the state credit rating has been lowered twice. So the soccer moms are angry about the school cuts.

Then there is the revenge of the RINOS. The last two election cycles Brownback engineered primary campaigns that pretty much eliminated the moderate Republicans from the legislature. Now they're looking for payback and have jumped on the Davis bandwagon to try and get it. So Brownback's up against all the Democrats, the RINO wing of his own party, and a bunch of independents pissed about school funding. He's in a bit of a pickle.

Oh Geez, BUT YOU DON’T ELECT A RADICAL LIBERAL EITHER!!!

Geez, can’t you get that through your head???

At least Roberts has a decent conservative record, I can live with that. What I can’t live with is more of 0bama, Reid, Pelosi, Orman or any other radical liberal destroying our United States! It’s really that simple and if you are any kind of conservative, should understand that.
