Democratic Senator Tom Harkin recently opined on the campaign of Republican Joni Ernst and made a comment that touched on her looks. He said, “I hear so much about Joni Ernst. She is really attractive, and she sounds nice. Well, I got to thinking about that. I don’t care if she’s as good looking as Taylor Swift or as nice as Mr. Rogers, but if she votes like Michele Bachmann, she’s wrong for the state of Iowa.”

Attention Mr. Harkin: Michelle Bachmann is in the House and Joni is seeking a seat in the Senate, and I hope that if elected, she DOES vote like Michelle Bachmann on the issues.

In Vino Veritas...Maybe, on the back porch after a couple of drinks with your buddies, will someone say something out of line or just flat out stupid.
But, these effin’ politicians tell us that they’re the smartest people on the planet and that’s why they need to be in DC, making Big People decisions.
Smart people don’t say stupid sh!t.
Smart people don’t apologize because they don’t have to because what they say is correct.
Smart people are articulate and know how to get their point across and win the debate without making a fool of themselves.
Preaching to the choir on this website, but the people of this country need to wake the fuc& up and take a long hard look at the people that walk the halls of Congress. With a few examples of members of Congress that are SMART and have some integrity. The majority, however, isdumber than a box of rocks, corrupt to the core or a sad combination of both.
With all ‘Progressives’ it’s not what they say it’s what they mean. And of course, being a ‘progressive’, Tom Harkin only meant well.
