For a brief time in mid-October, some Democrats believed Michelle Nunn, the party's Senate candidate in Georgia, could be the firewall that prevents a Republican takeover of the Senate. If Nunn could win the seat opened by retiring GOP Sen. Saxby Chambliss, then Republicans would need to pick up seven, not six, seats to take control.
In half-a-dozen polls taken over a two-week period in the middle of October, Nunn led Republican opponent David Perdue in five, while the candidates tied in one. Democratic optimism surged. "National Democrats have just decided to pour $1 million into this race in Georgia, a sign of how important a victory here would be to their effort to beat the odds and hold on to control of the Senate," the Wall Street Journal reported Oct. 17. More pro-Nunn money came after that, with a barrage of ads focusing mostly on accusations the businessman Perdue outsourced thousands of Georgia jobs.
Now, things have changed. Perdue has recovered from the attacks he indisputably helped create thousands of jobs in his career and in the last six polls, taken since Oct. 16, Perdue has led in five, while one was a tie. In the RealClearPolitics average of polls, Perdue is up by 2.2 percentage points. In the newest poll, a NBC News-Marist survey released Sunday, Perdue leads by four points, 48 percent to 44 percent.

I pray that Georgia won’t go from a red to blue state.
Michelle Nunn is a decent person and her father was a great Georgia senator. But we cannot afford to send another Obola legitimizer to DC. All rats must be voted out along with their despicable obamacare!
Right you are. No reason whatsoever at this point to expect that anyone with a D after their name will be anything other than a rubber stamp for more Run Amok Socialism.
Perdue is a weak candidate so thank God he only had to go up agains’t Michelle Nunn another nothing burger or we would be in trouble. GA is a very red state except for Atlanta. I hope he can get to 50% but I’m not counting on it.
It will be hard for older GA people in in particular to say “No” to a “Nunn”.
Like Lloyd M. Bentsen in TX and John Breaux in LA, I always though Sam Nunn was overrated, but the TX, LA, and GA people disagree.
Nunn and Carter have very little experience and are qualified to be school superintendent at best. It seems Nunn’s sole complaint is Perdue out sourced!
Perdue is a weak candidate
He certainly didn’t look very good against Nunn yesterday on the WSB debate. Although neither answered the questioned that were asked, Nunn was much faster on her feet than Perdue. I’m kind of hoping that all those church, goin minority voters weren’t watching.
Amazing how fast people forget that she is a lying, race baiting Democrat!
But you are impressed with how 'fast she is on her feet'!
Decent people don't 'race bait'!
But you are impressed with how ‘fast she is on her feet’!
To the uneducated viewer, she had more to say than Perdue who repeated, “She’s a rubber stamp for obama” and “She was handpicked by obama” ad nauseum. That was pretty much his answer to everything. I didn’t say she wasn’t quick with her dodging questions and telling untruths about everything.
Yeh@! I knew that would come up. She is only race-baiting in predominantly black districts! So, she’s just another ‘rat. Oh where oh where are the decent democrats? Harry Truman, Adlai Stevenson, Gov. Casey, where are you?
