The Pentagon brass placed in charge of implementing Obama’s war against ISIS are getting fed up with the short leash the White House put them on.
Top military leaders in the Pentagon and in the field are growing increasingly frustrated by the tight constraints the White House has placed on the plans to fight ISIS and train a new Syrian rebel army.
As the American-led battle against ISIS stretches into its fourth month, the generals and Pentagon officials leading the air campaign and preparing to train Syrian rebels are working under strict White House orders to keep the war contained within policy limits. The National Security Council has given precise instructions on which rebels can be engaged, who can be trained, and what exactly those fighters will do when they return to Syria. Most of the rebels to be trained by the U.S. will never be sent to fight against ISIS.

I can’t stand the thought of LBJ but I NEVER questioned his patriotism as I do Obama’s.
I believe Obama is actively engaged in treason on a scale never seen in our history or envisioned by our forefathers.
He is quite literally engaged each hour of each day in protecting his ISIS brothers while pretending to be attacking them. All the while he is risking and costing American lives.

LBJ put politics over everything else, including his country, his family, his mistress, and his illegitimate son. He had zero integrity, no ethics, and largely charted the course for the disastrous path this country has had since he gained congressional power. The grass grows well on his grave.

Woodrow Wilson also went for a stalemate for WWI to end in an armistice. That was just time for the enemy to rearm and start again 20 years later.
He's used them to overthrow Libya, and Egypt. Putin b slapped him down in Syria though.

People need to realize that Obama's 2009 Cairo Speech was an all out attack on America, the West, Israel, and Christianity.
Obama GAVE PERMISSION to the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and what became ISIS to launch violent revolution throughout the Middle East. He would secretly fund, support, and aid their conquest and slaughter.
Obama WANTS the Caliphate, because he WANTS to destroy Israel.

......I think it is even worse than that. He, McNamara and Rusk strung out the Vietnam War and micro-managed it to the detriment of the grunts and the profit of the military industrial complex. I hate the sonofabitch for that because one of those marines killed was my best boyhood buddy. Then, he and Lady Broad (being nice) profited millions off contracts to large US construction companies. LBJ and Lady BRoad are a case study in corruption.
Now, along comes Obama and he and LBJ are roughly equal except that Obama hates his country. LBJ didn’t. He was all politics and money in his bank account!

Not a fair nor accurate analogy.
First off, Johnson had a legitimate pretext for approving bombing raids.
First, we were in the middle of a nuclear Cold War with the USSR and LBJ wanted to avoid starting WWIII with any strategic bombing activities IN NORTH VIETNAM
Second, LBJ approved a heck of lot of pretty massive and effective bombing operations.
We had hundreds of USAF aircraft in action over Vietnam at any given time . For example, there was a 240 helicopters sweep over Tay Ninh province, beginning Operation Junction City in 1967.
Third, in South Vietnam, the US military had an almost total freedom in tactical air support for American troops and routinely hammered the Viet Cong and NVA regulars with massive jet air strikes , helicopter gunship attacks and massive artillery fire.
Vietnam was a full scale war with 500K American troops.
In contrast, Obama sends one flight of 2 FA-18s to drop 4 or 5 500 lb bombs on an empty tent. The tent is empty because some al Qaeda sympathizer in the Obama admin leaked the attack so no one would be hurt.

I refer to the picture sequence earlier in this post of the last helicopter leaving the Embassy roof. With all of the reasons you say they are different, nothing can mitigate the ROE that were just as screwed up under LBJ and McNamara as it is today under Obama. LBJ was a totally self serving A-Hole just as everyone else with experience of that time can attest, except for LBJ and McNamara sycophants along with their willing leftist/progressives in the media that continues yet today.
