U.S. Marine veteran Andrew Tahmooressi has been released from a Mexican jail, where he had languished for months on weapons charges after crossing the border with three guns in his car earlier this year. Tahmooressi has long maintained his innocence, saying that he made a wrong turn at the Mexican border and was unable to return to the U.S. upon realizing his mistake. His release became a cause célèbre for conservatives nationwide.
The San Diego Union-Tribune notes that Tahmooressi's legal strategy shifted in recent weeks: "He initially pressed for dismissal of the case on the grounds that his clients rights were allegedly violated when he was held at the El Chaparral Port of Entry for hours without the presence of an attorney or a translator....But in recent weeks, the attorney focused on Tahmooressis PTSD in an attempt to win him a humanitarian release."

Are you kidding. He will take all the credit if it will benefit him.b
BTTT!
But, the midterms are days away... I expect he very well might be invited, to which he should reply "Go Pound Sand".
‘Mexico. What a lawless cesspool’
+1
Hussein won’t use this unless there is some political capital in it for his-putrid-self.
Kerry will claim he singledhandedly negotiated his release....like earning four battle stars in ‘Nam.
OCTOBER SURPRISE.
Deb Wasserman Shultz is already going a victory lap about this (Tahmooresi’s mom lives in her district).
Obama will take credit too.
It is about time!
God Bless you Andrew!
I agree; until there’s definite word he’s back in the U.S. Lord Jesus, protect him and bring him home. Amen.
I’ll get excited when I find out he’s actually on US soil........and we all know HUSSEIN had absolutely nothing to do with this.
Greta and Fox News did it!
The Washer woman and her surrogate in Ft.Kent ME aka Nurse CDC Hickox are useless.
Will he get his car and guns back? I doubt it. Maybe they’ll offer free tuition since he’s there illegally.
I pray as a warning to heading near the border including our military to STAY AWAY as far from the border. Don,t even visit Mexico.
But then so is San Diego.
Calm down bich...It's not like Obama freed him from ISIS or anything.
TheDailyMail claims he’s out at this moment, but again does not say where he is.
“Retired sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi, 26, walked free tonight from a prison in Tecate, a border town just south of California after a judge decided he could go - without deciding whether he committed a crime.”
Why did it take so long? Our government's executive branch is a massive failure....
“Mexico. What a lawless cesspool”
Actually, there are lots of amazing, wonderful hard-working people there, who have been betrayed by corrupt officials, who took away all their weapons and left them with no way to defend themselves against the government...doesn’t help when our own Justice Department pick winners and losers in the cartel wars and illegally arm the ones they want to win!
Article says he was a Marine vet, I haven’t followed his story too closely, so forgive my ignorance. My question, is he still active duty?
Agree. Greta deserves a lot of credit. She kept this story on the front burner and tried, several times, to visit the Sgt. in the Mexican prison.

Lawlessness doesn’t come from the people but from the government. The government of Mexico is a cesspool. Granted, Holder & Obama are not much better.
