Bowie Resource Partners says it has eliminated 150 jobs at the Bowie #2 coal mine near Paonia.
...
Last year the shutdown of another mine in the region caused nearly 300 people to lose their jobs. That coal mine is in Somerset.
In the release, Bowie says it will provide the 150 laid off workers with 60 days of wages and benefits.

Well said.
Yep, they’d rather be working. I live in southwestern Colo. and this mine is in an area about 150 miles north. Jobs are scarce anyway and this is not good.
—according to an MSHA inspector friend, the inspectors in eastern US have been forewarned that they will need to find other positions as the Obama “war on coal” eliminates active mines-—
Trying to turn US into a third world hell hole
“Thank you, Mr. President; may I have another?”
I was less than a teen in the 60s but I remember it very well. Pretty stupid for the most part.
And the part about hippies spitting on our servicemen returning from Vietnam and Hanoi Jane? that would NEVER happen again if I have anything to say about it. Plus, people wouldn’t get away with now because they’d be “ripped a new one” on the blogs and Internet.
And we’d know the facts about Communism — that it was indeed a scourge on humanity and something to be feared.
When we landed in San Francisco, a stewardess said there might be some nasty ‘people” waiting for us somewhere in the Terminal but we didn’t see any. But it was 2:00 am. We were going to kick some ass if somebody spit on us. We wanted to get home and were in no mood for fools.
When we saw Woodstock on the NEWS my Dad said it was a bad sign.
Spitting on someone would have been considered an assault and justification for opening a can of whooparse.
It would be nice to see a whiny harry smelly hippie waving the peace sign get his but kicked.
I read somewhere that hippies wouldn’t have survived 100 years before. That natural selection and the real world hard life would have made them nonexistent.
That’s right. There were no food stamps or other welfare programs then.
Exactly.
What an idiotic thing to say.
