Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican Presidential nominee, remains among the most popular of possible 2016 Republican candidates but just among Republicans. In the latest Economist/YouGov Poll, 75% of Republicans hold a favorable opinion of Romney, far more than say that about nearly all other GOP possibilities.
.........................................................
Romneys popularity with Republicans does not extend to the rest of the population, however. Overall, he is seen unfavorably. And when it comes to whether or not Romney should try again for the Presidency in 2016, Republicans are divided at the moment. The country overall would rather he stay out of the next presidential contest.

Fixed it.
Not with the Conservative base....
He has ZERO popularity with Conservatives.
Is today opposite day or something?
Amen, and IMHO we have him to thank for the Boob's second term. After that first debate I believe the GOP-e told him to lay down.
Brutish backstabber Romney created Obama
by his attacks through surrogates
on Gov. Palin and her children.
Apparently RomneyCARE and destroying the Mass economy
were not enuf.
I would question how popular Romney is with rank and file Republicans. Other than the fact that he would have been better than Obama I have no more love for him now than I had two years ago. And that wasn’t much.
I keep thinking - We have 300 Million+ NATURAL BORN CITIZENS in this Country, a large protion are at least 35 years of age and not felons, and look at those that get trotted out!
In Romney's defense, he would've been light years better than the muslim bastard, but so would my dog.
Romney could not attack 0bama at his weakest point: romneyobamacare.
“Romney barely beat a bunch of clowns in the primary “
While some where clowns there were several good candidates among them. He beat them by stabbing them in the back.
The only thing that Romney does well is lose elections.
Does he really think that somehow, this magical time, he will convince those 7 million Republicans who stayed home last time to come pouring out for him?
(I’m not totally sure, but I believe that McCain received more actual votes than Romney on election day. Yikes.)
Romney / McCain 2024!
What’s wrong with Dole?
That’s because he let the Democrats define him as a dog-abusing polygamist who ships jobs to India and goes around giving people cancer.
I chose Romney when Palin bowed out last time.
I will NOT make that mistake again.
I am quite sure, I am not alone in this decision.
On the flip side, I don’t see how Romney will possibly get any voters next time, he did not get last time.
Which means he loses. LOSES. Romney stop this political grandstanding.
How about you use all of your money to start bringing back American industry, to America?
