Attorneys for a nurse released from isolation in New Jersey after returning to the U.S. from West Africa say she will not comply with Maine health officials requirements that she remain under quarantine at home for 21 days.
Kaci Hickox, who treated Ebola patients in Sierra Leone and shows no symptoms of the virus, agreed to refrain from going out in public for two days only, said Steven Hyman of the New York law firm McLaughlin & Stern. She traveled to Maine on Monday after her release from a New Jersey hospital, where she was isolated against her will.
She doesnt want to agree to continue to be confined to a residence beyond the two days, Hyman said.
Send her Barack on the next flight to Obolaville.
Tin foil hat off.
It wouldn't be manslaughter. She wanted early release. That's premeditated.
Two days? What science is that based on?
Good background info on Hickox and her attorney.
this Kaci chick is funny.
God does have a sense of humor.
Since Kaci is setting an example to all libs... What are the chances that one day Kaci catches ebola from some other chick who also refused to quarantine. What will Kaci spew then? Will she proudly shout out to the world that she’s glad the other chick didn’t quarantine, or will she sue her?
Seriously, some women should be locked up.
No exposure would explain why this could be a reason for this lib, obama and CDC to use her to show how safe Americans are. Such liars.
I see a lot of political comments throughout the day. For me it’s basic safety.
How do we quarantine the military who Obama says is not in direct contact and then let her walk around.
Doesn’t make sense.
This is about all there is to Fort Kent....end of the contiguous US on the east coast.....
If I were there, I’d be visiting relatives for a couple of weeks.
Who knows what she will do or where she will go. That’s the point of automatic quarantine. Not up to the person who may be effected. Protecting the people who are not.
Her boyfriend won’t be able to attend nursing school till he has done 21 days, but can do internet classes.
Supposedly she tested negative for the virus. How definitive is that?
whatever happened to containing and treating deadly diseases in the smallest geographic sea possible rather than importing it to a very large land mass with 340 million people. Isn’t that common sense 101?

What is not being told...is that ebola cases are popping up in other countries from these workers.
They backed off the Liberian national who arrived near me. Her father was banned from his employment by a college. He said indignantly, "I had a right to bring her here."
IOW the only one, and I don't know her coming and going habits, that seemed to cooperate the best was Nurse Pham. She didn't leave town and went to the hospital as soon as she developed a fever. She knew.
any half decent medical staff would lock it down for three weeks for the sake of everyone else.
