NBC News/Marist Polls Show Tight Contests in Key States BY MARK MURRAY

Control of the U.S. Senate is coming down to the wire, with Democrats and Republicans locked in tight races in the key contests that will determine the majority in that chamber of Congress, according to six new NBC News/Marist polls.

The momentum in these races, however, has swung mostly in the Republican Party’s direction, giving the GOP a clear path to winning the majority.

In Colorado’s Senate contest, Republican challenger Cory Gardner holds a one-point lead among likely voters over incumbent Sen. Mark Udall, D-Colo., 46 percent to 45 percent. Back in September’s NBC/Marist poll, Udall was ahead by six points, 48 percent to 42 percent.

In Iowa, Republican Joni Ernst edges Democrat Bruce Braley by three points, 49 percent to 46 percent. Earlier this month, Ernst’s lead was two points, 46 percent to 44 percent.

In Kansas, independent Greg Orman has a one-point advantage over Republican Sen. Pat Roberts, 45 percent to 44 percent – down from Orman’s 10-point lead earlier this month in the NBC/Marist poll.

In Arkansas, Republican challenger Tom Cotton gets the support of 45 percent of likely voters, versus incumbent Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., at 43 percent. In September, Cotton’s lead was five points.

And in North Carolina, incumbent Sen. Kay Hagan, D-N.C., and GOP opponent Thom Tillis are tied at 43 percent each. That’s down from Hagan’s four-point lead earlier this month. Libertarian Sean Haugh gets 7 percent of the vote.

These are open calls by the Media for voter fraud.

They want to incite as much of it as possible in hopes of turning things in their political favor.

50 million food stamps, 15 million on disability, and many more millions on welfare, unions, etc do not care about IRS scandals, Fast and furious, Benghazi, etc. It shocks me Republicans can even manage to get elected in statewide races.

Gee, I wonder what happens when you alienate your base while at the same time helping your “opponents” manufacture a new base for themselves...

My thinking, as of today. is that the Republican Rinos (you know who they all are) are destroying their natural conservative constituency, because they fear losing of power and control in D.C., meaning the “donations” by those who really hold the power in D.C. - the lobbying firms fronting for big corps, banks, investment firms, unions, and other corrupted power groups.

This has been growing for years, and anyone who speaks the truth about what is really going on is marginalized, ridiculed, and slandered. Consider Palin, Paul, Perot, Cruz, and others that do not spring to mind at the moment.

In a way, these Rinos are in a hard place. They do know how fragile the economy is at present, and understand that a complete collapse of the U.S. gov, banks, pension funds, social security, medicare, etc. is probable within months.

Unfunded liabilities now are over 100 trillion, they have to borrow from abroad to pay the bills, and they do not know what to do, except hang on to power a bit longer, in hopes that they and theirs will be protected when final social disintegration occurs after the “state” runs out of money. They need some straw-men to blame. Tea Partiers and others might provide them cover.

Again, in a bleak mood today, and hope I am muddle-headed about all this.

Did you read the news about some republican candidate was voting with trying to vote in Chicago on voting machine and the machine kept switching his vote to democratic? Our elections are a joke.

No ID required, no citizenship proof required, rigged voting machines, etc. make us a joke.

Cheer up. There is plenty of paper and ink. And the money printing machines government has are in good working order.

Blacks are being told that if they don’t vote their town will be just like Ferguson. Black preachers are telling them to bring their absentee ballots to church to have them “filled out.”

Not sure I understand your negativity...If this were the other way around, the headline would be "Polls show surge for Democrats going down the stretch." These polls show a significant momentum swing toward the Republican candidates - look at the numbers. Some of them are near double digit swings vs. their prior polling last month.

Romney and Ryan didn’t take advantage of Chick Fil A issue. One of the dumbest things they did.

If things aren’t reversed soon in this country, you could be arrested if you stand on a street corner and protest the ruling class. Tyranny is an ugly thing, but it continues to become more and more present in American life.

“If you see certain signs pointing to impending voter fraud in the next nine days, then these signs will tell us that the Democrat know they can’t win without, and will attempt to steal the Senate majority with voter fraud in several states”

“What will really be going on if we see those signs, is, the polls being skewed again to cover for expected, and planned, voter fraud to steal the closest elections that are otherwise going narrowly in favor of Republicans, in favor of the Democrats”
