Dhimmiokkrats war on immigrants? Where’s abcnbccbsmsnbscnnhln on this breaking story?
Get the workers drivers licenses and register them Democrats so they vote themselves a higher standard of living. Think I’ve seen this movie before.
“A Silicon Valley tech company that reportedly made $200 million last quarter...and was fined $3,500.”
That’ll learn them.
We should pass a law requiring our multinational corporations to pay foreign workers our prevailing wage rates so we can keep more good-paying jobs here at home.
If they want to off-source jobs, they would get no economic advantage from it. They want to be in this country, they ought to follow our labor and worker safety rules.
Very profitable anti capitalist capitalists.
They are doing that because they are great humanitarians, not because they want more cheap labor.
Silicon Valley Democrats love those techno-coolies
I wonder if this is one of the Silicon Valley firms that shoves piles of cash in Obama's pockets when we pay to fly him out there for Lunch and golf.
And this is part of why illegal “immigration” is such a problem. Our minimum wage laws make hiring unskilled labor cost-prohibitive, but illegal immigrants are more than happy to take the low wages under the table. And our politicians want the political power, so look the other way while American unskilled workers sit idle, learning no job skills.
These people comes on L1 or B1 visa. There is no limit on number and companies can avoid paying US salaries, they have to pay daily living expenses or provide accommodation.
Check any Extended Stay or Inns in Silicon valley , they are filled with B1 or L1 visa crowd from India or East Europe.
Indeed unintentionally overlooked laws.
As much as the low wage, it’s difficult to find people that will work 120 hours a week.....almost 18 hours a day, 7days/week.
There was company in California making buses and paying Chinese laborers less than minimum too.
Does anyone buy the excuse that they didn’t know that US law applied to foreign workers too??
120 hours a week? I’m not buying it. Sounds as if the company was providing them housing.
Other than excessive hours, how is there a problem with their pay? In that, if I work for an American company that sends me to France or Germany or India for three or six weeks on an assignment, I’m not paid at the prevailing wage in that country. I’m paid American dollars on my American salary and the billing from the American company to the French or German or Indian company is based on dollar-value not local value.
