Kenneth Byrd, 67, found himself in a scary situation when three men invaded his home and kept him and his wife, Judy, 65, hostage at gunpoint. When the three men attempted to force themselves on his 19-year-old granddaughter, Kenneth snapped and somehow managed to retrieve his own gun and defend his family.
The three home invaders then forced Kenneth and his wife, Judy, towards the back of the home at gunpoint while demanding the couple open a private safe and give them their money, reports The Inquistr.
However, it was when the three men attempted to “gang rape” Kenneth’s teenage granddaughter that he decided to fight back. Although it’s not known where the the gun came from, Kenneth retrieved his own personal gun and used it to shoot all 3 of the intruders.
Unfortunately, they fired back — leaving Kenneth shot “several” times. He was airlifted to a hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Unfortunately, the 20-year-old was found lifeless in the front seat — apparently dying from gunshot wounds.
Thankfully, the other 2 intruders who survived being shot were reported to police when they checked into a hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds.

Believe it or not, I know a woman who is adamant that she would rather be raped and beaten to death, even watch her daughter raped and beaten to death, than be defended by an armed citizen.
It goes without saying that she is a rabid progressive.
In my house there are many weapons, all in locations known only to me, and never more than a few steps away. Not all of them are guns. A claw hammer, well-thrown, can buy you enough time to get to the nearest gun. I learned to throw knives at Culver Military Academy when I was 14. I still practice regularly.
One would immediately suspect she had never been raped and beaten to death before...maybe just to the limits of cognitive function, or it could be a fantasy thing..
I hope her daughter gives someone else medical power of attorney in the event she is unable to make her decisions...mom sure seems willing to throw her to the wolves.
I would think a 9mm will give you a few more rounds with just a small loss of energy. A 9mm gives you about 600 J, whereas a .45 ACP can give you 835 J (Bonded Defense.) On the other hand, I have a .357 Magnum (964.0 J with Gold Dot) :-)

Somehow, I doubt she would feel that way if it actually happened to her. Then again, there is no way to comprehend the depths of psychosis of the typical “progressive” mind.

I think it should read as follows: FORTUNATELY the intruder was found freshly dead in the front seat of the car. UNFORTUNATELY the resale value of the car was greatly reduced due to blood and gore.

She can say that until it is actually hapening and then it is too late. What does her daughter say about this? What does her husband say about this? (Although I'm guessing what kind of husband she has.)
What is really sad is that people like the one you mentioned are really afraid to assume personal responsibility for their own safety even when facing a criminal that would rape, brutalize and even murder them. They have been raised to believe that the police are their personal protectors & the police are the only ones who should deal with violent criminals.

Personally I think you are full of crap.
You need to get your head right as clearly you have no clue what this man went through. This wasn't a video game, it was real life.
