As the reasons behind the Seahawks decision to trade Percy Harvin are continually analyzed, more information about the dynamics of the teams locker room are being reported. In the latest report, it is suggested that there was a divide in the locker room among Seahawks supporting Russell Wilson and players who supported Harvin. The report says that as the chasm grew, the Seahawks decided they had to trade Harvin before things became more fractured.
Bleacher Reports Mike Freeman, who explores the trade and locker room dynamic in Seattle, gives several reasons why some players have issues with Wilson, and he even suggests that some players believe the quarterback is not black enough.
Freeman says the Seahawks traded Harvin because of increasing animosity between the former Vikings wide receiver and their Super Bowl-winning quarterback. This should not come as a surprise; Lance Zierlein of Sports Talk 790 in Houston reported last week that Harvin nearly fought Wilson this season. He also says some players feel Wilson is too close to the front office, which is probably another way of saying that Wilson is a favorite of the organization. Freeman also reports that some teammates are irked by Wilson not always taking blame for mistakes he makes.

SOMETHING must have been REALLY bad news about Harvin to get dumped like that. He’s extraordinary talented on the field, cost the Seahawks a fortune to get, and they got essentially nothing when they got rid if him.
Must have been some big time trouble with him behind the scenes though.
As a Bama fan I must admit that I always like Tim Tebow. It is ironic that if Tebow had went to Bama we would have never got Saban, since Tebow would have saved Shula’s job.
The game against the Cowboys he either refused or whined that something was aching him on a couple of plays on the 2nd or third drive from the end of the game.
Some think he wasn’t happy with getting the little short passes off to the side - he wanted the long ball.
The day before the Superbowl he punched Golden Tate - gave him a black eye. Confirmed by an ex-seahawk.
I think he got into a fist fight with Doug Baldwin at some point too.
He regularily did not practice on Wednesdays - something was always sore.
He seemed out of place on many plays - like he hadn’t studied the play book enough. That might fit in with him making excuses for not doing practices, etc.
Wilson is a hard worker and is always thinking football. I can easily see them having words if Wilson is trying to make a play on the field, but Percy doesn’t remember what it is and messes it up.
Yaphet Kotto needs to impregnate Grace Jones to be truly “black enough”.
Early rumor was that Harvin was caught with Wilson’s wife, and that was the reason for the dispute, and that as a result Wilson also dumped his wife.
Yup, that would do it.
It sounds like Harvin is a locker room cancer trying to turn the team against their very talented quarterback. Probably because Harvin didn’t feel like he got enough throws his way.
