On CNN Tuesday night, activist and former Obama green jobs czar Van Jones and television and radio host and author of "Hands Off My Gun" Dana Loesch discussed the latest Palin-bashing extravaganza the media is currently wallowing in. During the festivities, Van Jones let it slip that maybe Sarah Palin wasn't as dumb and worthless as Democrats have tried to paint her for every second of every day since the moment she took the national stage. He opined:
Sarah Palin .. people forget. She had the Democratic party shaking in our boots in 2008. She came out, she gave that speech at the convention. That was, hands down, one of the best convention speeches - not by a woman, by anybody in 2008. People were running for the hills.
Loesch immediately pointed out that the narrative in 2008 was that Palin was too dumb to be considered for office, and that the conventional wisdom everyone was supposed to buy, that she brought the ticket down, didn't match Van Jones' characterization. But Van Jones had an explanation for that. They were just liars.
"Now it can be told! Now it can be told! We were scared!"
It's the second time this week that Democrats have said in public that they lie to get elected. But you can totally trust them once they're in office.

Everything the Dems say is a lie, including “the” and “and”.
From what I read the McCain team held her back from saying a lot of what she wanted to say. If she had been let loose McCain would quite probably had been President. I wonder how screwed up we’d be if that had happened? Of course I doubt it could be any worse than we are now.
Maybe we would have gotten lucky and McCain’s ticker would have given out and we would have had President Palin.
I was thinking at least give him a chance in the water. Instead of cement boots why not give him some cement swim fins, makes it at least fair.
GREAT pic! I’m keepin’ it!
We knew that back then.
And before McCain picked her his campaign was in debt. After her pick the money flowed in like crazy.
FU McCain and the GOPe - you bunch of cowards. Goes double for your ugly, fat daughter McLame.
And Sarah still scares the leftards!
Well they fessed up, the truth is she still has them running scared, she is totally inside their heads, now more than ever before, and the so-called brawl had zero negative impact.
The evidence is hearing the kettle and the pot, still calling the Golden Chalice STUPID, the jealousy abounds.
The GOPe was more scared than the Democrats and sabotaged her on purpose.
I think that totally freaked McCain out. His handlers would not have been happy.
If you wait along enough, the truth comes out.
Of course, if you were paying attention at the time, you knew it already. But it’s always nice to hear the confirmation.
Exactly. The worst attacks on her came from romniacs and McCain insiders. Every time a repub attacked her in some personal or vulgar way, they turned out to be romney people.
And Romney never disavowed the attacks, never came to her defense, he sat silent while his proxies did the dirty work. As did McCain. And then they both had the nerve to seek her support in their subsequent elections.
"Now it can be told! Now it can be told! We were scared!"
We knew they were scared. You could tell by the first reactions of the leftmedia drones that were covering the convention after they'd just seen Sarah's speech.
They were almost too stunned to speak. I saw real fear in their eyes, and knew that Sarah must have just sent a shiver down every Democrat's spine.
They didn't have any choice but to destroy her, using every dirty trick in their arsenal.
Sad thing is that it worked so well, even a lot of Republicans bought into it.
She is still the very best we have.
My regard for FReepers took a nosedive as a result of that smear. Talk about useful idiots.....
Exactly. McCain - Palin was surging ahead in the polls until dumb butt McCain supported the bailout. Then the media assassinated Gov. Palin and it was over.
I like this girl, very smart and very attractive...I have seen her a number of times and really liked her and have been impressed.
I saw her last night on Hannity and I kid you not, I said to myself she could run for President.
