Greatest, latest parlor game: watching liberals pretzel-ize logic in arguing against a travel ban on people from Ebola-affected countries. We've noted a few examples here, here and here.
But as wacky as those assertions were, they might all have to take a back seat to the absolutely absurd argument offered up by Chris Matthews on this evening's Hardball. Matthews suggested that a travel ban wouldn't work since Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian who infected two people before dying of Ebola, lied to get into the US.
Can't Chris see that his argument runs headlong against logic? That it is precisely because people will lie to get in that the only real solution is a ban on visas for people from Ebola-affected countries? Hello?

Chris Matthews offers craziest argument yet against Ebola travel ban. Ping to Today show list.
Liberals employ a distraction technique which means to state a lie with confidence and assume people are stupid. Chris enhances the technique by speaking fast and keep moving. This technique assumes people wont be fast enough to analyze the statement and by the time they do he has moved on to another lie. He has done that for years
Subject: Watch Sen. Ted Cruz Discusses Ebola with Candy Crowley ” on YouTube
He responds with such common sense and leaves Candy speechless, just eager to go to another question.
Ted Cruz is presidential material.

Who watches this idiot?
I don’t even know what he says here nor do I care. But I stand by my “ONLY listen to the scientists” on the travel ban And they say “no ban” so I don’t care what the politicians or pundits say.
Clearly Matthews did not drink enough in preparation for tonight’s show.
Liberal a$$holes will lie cheat and steal to protect their idol.
Careful, most of the scientists quoted work for the Federal Government in one way or another.
Anyone who has traveled to an Ebola ravaged country should be isolated in an offshore facility for 45 days before being allowed to enter the country, including returning Americans.
"Give me an 'E' .... Give me a 'B' .... Give me an 'O' .....
The only Bolshie anti-ban proposal I would accept is, if, they said come stay at my house for 21-day quarantine.

Thanks for the ping!
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Youre Welcome, Alamo-Girl!
Actually, Duncan flew through Belgium before coming to the U.S. Unless he didn’t change planes, I doubt that a ban would have stopped him.
Full disclosure: I am in favor of a ban. After all, if we’re supposed to stop it over there, it makes sense to keep it over there.
