But, but, but they said it wasn't contagious unless you came into contact with bodily fluids. According to the CDC, the 2nd health-care worker infected with Ebola traveled on Frontier Flight 1143 from Cleveland to Dallas on October 13th and are asking all 132 passengers on the flight to get tested. One question... what about the thousands of people that those 132 passengers came in contact with in the last 2 days?

Frontier Airlines Statement
“At approximately 1:00 a.m. MT on October 15, Frontier was notified by the CDC that a customer traveling on Frontier Airlines flight 1143 Cleveland to Dallas/Fort Worth on Oct. 13 has since tested positive for the Ebola virus. The flight landed in Dallas/Fort Worth at 8:16 p.m. local and remained overnight at the airport having completed its flying for the day at which point the aircraft received a thorough cleaning per our normal procedures which is consistent with CDC guidelines prior to returning to service the next day. It was also cleaned again in Cleveland last night. Previously the customer had traveled from Dallas Fort Worth to Cleveland on Frontier flight 1142 on October 10.
Customer exhibited no symptoms or sign of illness while on flight 1143, according to the crew. Frontier responded immediately upon notification from the CDC by removing the aircraft from service and is working closely with CDC to identify and contact customers who may traveled on flight 1143.
Customers who may have traveled on either flight should contact CDC at 1 800 CDC-INFO.
The safety and security of our customers and employees is our primary concern. Frontier will continue to work closely with CDC and other governmental agencies to ensure proper protocols and procedures are being followed.”

I listened to the press conferences earlier today. The CDC guidelines do say something like “controlled” travel only-meaning non-commercial.
However, that doesn’t excuse either the CDC or the health care workers from responsibility. Had I been involved with treating the index case, I sure wouldn’t have traveled, just as a common sense abundance of caution.
To add insult to injury, it is now being reported that she had a low grade fever and traveled anyway, because it was not the high fever associated with Ebola.
What kind of common sense allows 70 health workers to be exposed to an Ebola patient? Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to the mishandling of the situation.
I will keep listening, and let you know if I hear anything about this worker’s address. Prayers up.

How did she get from Dallas to Cleveland in the first place? Fly? Walk?
To: Grampa Dave
Skin exposed. Cheap mask. No tape. I’m sure they weren’t hosed down with a bleach solution, either.

Now reports are coming in that the MCW’s basically had zero protective gear or guidance while the tainted medical waste piled up in the patient’s rooms.

“Heres info on the area where she lives:”
Thanks for that info.. She is 33 miles from me so I don't think she could have been in this area.
Shepard Smith on Fox went into almost a “shout” mode, telling people not to panic -he went on for several minutes assuring people there was no need for panic. I wonder what these “do not panic” people, think the populace would do if they “panicked”. What action would happen when someone “panicked” about Ebola? Would the person buy some water and food, maybe some masks and other health items? Is that being panicked?
Exactly what is “panic”? The definition, I think, would be whatever the person saying “do not panic” would do if he/she panicked. For heaven's sake, be prepared to live in your house for a few months without public utilities and without traveling outside your house. Then, let Shepherd Smith and the others actually go into their panic mode, whatever that is to them.
My significant other and I went to Oklahoma last evening to a casino. He won $1,200 playing machine poker, and I “panicked” in joy for him. :o) We'll keep having a good time knowing we can go into seclusion if we need to and still have a good standard of living. Being prepared for an emergency is life insurance and there is no need to "panic".

I saw Shep. He was almost in full blown panic mode about people panicking. LOL. I finally had to change the channel.
Maybe he has a bunch of airline stocks, and didn’t get to dump them.
I talked to my doctor this week, and he said he’s more concerned about EV-D68 than Ebola-course we have no Ebola cases anywhere close to us in Missouri. We do have the other virus in St. Louis, and I know of at least one case in the county.
I know I was much more aware of hygiene on my trip to Branson, and took more hand cleaner and even some disinfectant-small first aid kit with me.
I usually go into hibernation mode during the winter/flu season-mostly because I hate being cold and hate being bundled up in big ole winter coats. Might go early this year.
The flu kit came in the mail today. So I just need to do my monthly restocking to be in pretty good shape. As we have talked before, I just grew up where we always had extra food, and stuff on hand to cope with most emergencies-so it is far from panic to stock up.LOL
I like your description of Insurance. That’s exactly how I feel about in. Peace of mind is worth a little preparation.

Demands?
The little CDC grovelers who want to kiss the African eblola carriers butts aren't so nice when it comes to Americans. When it's Americans the CDC ‘demands’...
How predictable.

Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...

They won’t halt flights to W Africa because they don’t want to destroy W Africa’s economy...or hinder supplies getting to the Liberians. They could care less about Americans or the American economy.

Thank you for your post #49 I have been spitting nails ever since I heard this last night. Your pictures make it pretty plain.

Sept 28: Duncan taken to hospital after vomiting. CDC warned of possible Ebola case Sept 29: Beset by projectile vomiting and diarrhea, Duncan asks to be put in a diaper
Sept 30: CDC confirms Ebola diagnosis
The Dallas hospital employees in contact with Mr Duncan should have been wearing PPE as of the 28th. On that day the CDC was "warned of possible Ebola case". The hospital suspected Ebola but waited for confirmation from the CDC before enacting "protocol ". They won't make that mistake again. And neither will any other hospital in the USA once Obola reviews what went wrong there and shares it.

I think it smacks right in the face of President Obola’s amnesty plans for Central and South America.
He will be damned if some world outbreak of disease will stop his master plan of executive amnesty and central government control for 200 years.
Oh what a world we weave when we practice to deceive.
This man hates individual freedom and everything the Constitution means.
