But, but, but they said it wasn't contagious unless you came into contact with bodily fluids. According to the CDC, the 2nd health-care worker infected with Ebola traveled on Frontier Flight 1143 from Cleveland to Dallas on October 13th and are asking all 132 passengers on the flight to get tested. One question... what about the thousands of people that those 132 passengers came in contact with in the last 2 days?

Frontier Airlines Statement
“At approximately 1:00 a.m. MT on October 15, Frontier was notified by the CDC that a customer traveling on Frontier Airlines flight 1143 Cleveland to Dallas/Fort Worth on Oct. 13 has since tested positive for the Ebola virus. The flight landed in Dallas/Fort Worth at 8:16 p.m. local and remained overnight at the airport having completed its flying for the day at which point the aircraft received a thorough cleaning per our normal procedures which is consistent with CDC guidelines prior to returning to service the next day. It was also cleaned again in Cleveland last night. Previously the customer had traveled from Dallas Fort Worth to Cleveland on Frontier flight 1142 on October 10.
Customer exhibited no symptoms or sign of illness while on flight 1143, according to the crew. Frontier responded immediately upon notification from the CDC by removing the aircraft from service and is working closely with CDC to identify and contact customers who may traveled on flight 1143.
Customers who may have traveled on either flight should contact CDC at 1 800 CDC-INFO.
The safety and security of our customers and employees is our primary concern. Frontier will continue to work closely with CDC and other governmental agencies to ensure proper protocols and procedures are being followed.”

Well if someone can get Ebola by simply having a portion of their skin exposed, then I would say this disease is highly contagious and it isn’t a fun way to die:
LANDING TO DEATH: TIMELINE OF EBOLA’S FIRST VICTIM IN THE U.S.
Sept 19: Duncan flies out of Monrovia, Liberia
Sept 20: Lands in Dallas, Texas, after changing
Sept 24: Duncan starts experiencing symptoms
Sept 25: Goes to Texas Health Presbyterian hospital in Dallas - but is sent home
Sept 25-27: Symptoms worsen at home
Sept 28: Duncan taken to hospital after vomiting. CDC warned of possible Ebola case
Sept 29: Beset by projectile vomiting and diarrhea, Duncan asks to be put in a diaper
Sept 30: CDC confirms Ebola diagnosis
Oct 1: Sepsis sets in - but Duncan tries to stay upbeat, asking to watch a movie. He asks to eat solid food, but changes his mind.
Oct 2: He asks for food, eats a few saltine crackers and a mouthful of Sprite. But blood is appears in his urine; he is given stronger drugs
Oct 3: Doctors request experimental drug brincidofovir as Duncan keeps worsening
Oct 4: Duncan has multiple organ failure. New drug arrives and he is given it
Oct 6: Duncan’s family, including his mother, come to visit him. His face is described as ‘like a mask’, some say he looks dead already
Oct 7: Family continue to watch Duncan via close-circuit cameras
Oct 8: Early in the morning Duncan’s heartrate slows to less than 50 beats per minute.
At 7:51am he is pronounced dead

I would not go near the plane bathroom. I would not worry about drinking from the glass, but would not want to be within 10 feet of a sneeze. Early testing shows virus is in the saliva. The virus is not bronchial so it doesn't cause more sneezing itself, but I sneeze just from the dry air on a plane.
My best bet for vectors other than direct contact is droplets in the air getting into the eyes. The health workers in Dallas did not have sealed eye protection, just loose face shields. It would obviously be better to have completely enclosed suits.

Every bit as deadly too. As this fiasco demonstrates. Unfortunately.
If we collectively survive this mess, I really hope that the loss of family members will inspire the families to become VERY political and hold these bastards to account.

Not factual, simply a fictional scenario made up from what has been taking place over the last week or so.

CDC, how may I direct your call? No madam, we don't actually come in contact with Ebola patients, so that's not likely to happen.

Unknown voice one: This one flew on a domestic airline exposing a lot of homeland folks
Unknown voice two: Call Katie in spin control and get her to work on this one.
Unknown voice three: There's an airliner headed this way with seven people who appear to be showing symptioms
Unknown voice two: Okay, make sure a team is dispatched at once. Seal that section of the airport. We'll need to isolate the seven, plus the rest of the passengers for 21 days.

Good afternnone ladies and gentlemen. We just wanted to give you a few updates. We have one new case of suspected Ebola in Dallas now.
As we understand it, this person flew domestically yesterday. We will be contacting the airlines and other passengers shortly.
Other than that, we have everything under control. Our techniques are being evaluated and improved upon daily.
The general population is in no danger. We've got the situation under control. Rest assured, you families are safe.

Every gal who used the toilets *in the terminal* used by this EBOLA patient, also needs to self-monitor and report to her doctor.
Same for the personnel in the airport who cleaned those toilets.
Same for the confectioners who exchanged cash with the patient.

“Why was she freely traveling?”
These workers were told to monitor their temperature and that's it. No one told them not to travel. I see on my TV running text on the bottom that the CDC said she should not have traveled (but these workers were not under court order not to travel). Any of those 70 people coming into contact with the first man patient, can go wherever they want.
This new patient is being sent to Emory hospital in Atlanta. Since I live 20 min. from that Dallas hospital, I would like to know where this new sick nurse lived. The sheriff's deputy who was checked for Ebola, lived 15 minutes from my house. Did this nurse live close to us? I don't know right now.

Hmm, well, clicking the calculator keys madly, 1 patient infects 132 patients, who infect 132 patients each...that takes four generations to cover everyone in the U.S. (well, nearly so - 132^4 is 303,595,776). At that point we don't have to worry about it anymore!
The good news? Uh...that IS the good news.

“And the second Ebola positive healthcare worker only has low-grade fever right now.”
The CDC also said she is getting sicker.

It’s airborne, they are parsing words.
A doctor said a few days ago that it resides in the droplets produced by coughing or sneezing.
