Officials with the city of Houston, Texas, who are defending a controversial ordinance that would allow men to use womens restrooms now have demanded to see the sermons preached by several area pastors.
The recent move came in a subpoena from the city to pastors for copies of their sermons and other communications in the citys legal defense of a non-discrimination measure that allows gender-confused people to use public restrooms designated for the opposite sex.
A lawsuit challenging Houstons move alleges the city violated its own charter in its adoption of the Equal Rights Ordinance, which in May designated homosexuals and transgender persons as a protected class.

Every pastor should refuse to submit a copy but tell the city they are welcome to attend the sermon.
And since I am “physically” a male but identify myself as a female lesbian, I should be allowed to accompany my wife into the restroom to provide security.
They may talk off the top of their head.
That’s right.
And can I say something right here and now. Why are Christians being treated like this for a non-terrorist issue, then the Islamic Clerics are thought to be inciting from the pulpit?
Good grief, the priorities are upside down in this nation.
The priorities of liberals are AGAINST this nation.
We all warned of this when people wanted to elect the first dyke as mayor, and warned Joel Osteen lemmings when he blessed her. What will it take for people to turn both of these douchebags out of Houston?
Only muslims do that...............oh, wait, you said ‘talk’ not ‘take’........sorry................
Fugitaboutit.
Not going to happen.
The dog ate it

?ADF attorneys say the city is illegitimately demanding that the pastors, who are not party to the lawsuit, turn over their constitutionally protected sermons and other communications simply so the city can see if the pastors have ever opposed or criticized the city.
LOL, so TX is just as messed up as the rest of the country. OK, all you TX chest beaters tell me why Im wrong. LOL...this should be good.
It isn’t all of Texas! We have a few trouble spots (Houston, Austin, Dallas) where the gibsmedat people live. After all, Houston did elect a dyke mayor and Sheila Jackson Lee is from here.
Since I opened to floor to TX chest beaters Ill assume youre one of them. Right? If so hold that thought: ‘It isnt all of Texas! ‘ but insert nearly any other state in place of Texas. See, you only thought TX was a great place. You all need to get out more. ;)
BTW Im certain there are other equally loony spots in TX other than the 3 you mention. Its just that the concentration of liberals aren’t as big outside of them.
Those churches should arm themselves and tell them, “Come take them.” This lowlife is a criminal in attempting to violate the First Amendment, and nobody is under any obligation to obey criminals.
A big difference is that Texas doesn’t for for Obama, like your state does.
Remember, the left lives to destroy and it's their revolution model.
No doubt it’s because of all those durn Californians. Everybody else’s state was ideologically pure before those durn Californians started a’ movin’ in.
It’s ok.....they’re investigating the Mosques too.....
Houston Pooblik Skrewls evidently didn’t require “A Bridge Too Far”. Consequently, the Ordinance Kings and the Houston Queers and Libtard trash who elected them have no concept of the consequences of “An Ordinance Too Far”.
One day they likely will be reminded that most Texans agree with the old Texas observation, “Some folks just need hangin’”.
Note to the Houston Bunch: That saying refers to a noose, not some queer sex practice.
