A welcome conclusion to yesterday’s scare. The number of known transmissions inside the United States still stands at zero.
“We have completed testing of the specimen submitted today by Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. The result is negative for Ebola,” the Texas Department of State Health Services said in a Twitter post.
The hospital said his current condition is not consistent with an early stage Ebola diagnosis.
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas said that Michael West Monnig has no fever, vomiting or diarrhea. Standard lab testing indicated all findings were within normal ranges.
He had no direct contact with Thomas Duncan but did spend a few minutes in Duncan’s apartment after he’d been taken to the hospital. Later he started having stomach pain. If you’re wondering why he’d jump to the conclusion that that might be Ebola, bear two things in mind. One: Multiple people in Spain have been quarantined because the nurse who was infected by a missionary wasn’t treated quickly enough after she first started having mild symptoms. She was out in public for days afterward getting sicker and sicker when she should have been hospitalized early out of an abundance of caution. (Her condition has worsened lately according to one doctor who’s treating her.) This guy acted prudently.

“The number of known transmissions inside the United States still stands at zero.”
Zero may seem like a small number, but to the Ebola alarmists, zero is a very large number.
Great news for him, and the rest of us. Now the family members need to come out clean.
Was this the guy who was rushed to the hospital recently, had been in Duncan’s apartment, but wasn’t on the special watchlist? Who was that?
They’ve lucked out so far.
Now shut down airplane travel from Africa.
Glad to hear that since he lives 10-12 miles from our house.
Does anyone believe this?
Stress level everywhere is increasing. Seeing it in lots of patients who call. Prayers up for our nation.
That said, I think he was prudent to get checked out.
Somebody goofed and reported good news.
Yeah....and what about Dallas Judge Jeffords.....?
“Stress level everywhere is increasing. Seeing it in lots of patients who call.”
All that stress is unnecessary and people are in a panic over something that is not a threat.
""The hospital said his current condition is not consistent with an early stage Ebola diagnosis""""
That does not sound like a POSITIVE for he does not have it. Sounds more like "we are not sure at this time", so go home.
Count me in the number that doesn't believe a word of this. The test were done in Austin, every bit as bad as Boston. And the hussein-controlled CDC ("Lean Forward") is just giving its boss cover.
For better or worse, FR is turning into Ebola red alert right now.
7 of the 10 breaking news headlines and 4 of the 10 frontpage news headlines are on Ebola.
Do I expect the Obama regime to be honest about who has the disease and who doesn’t? Hell no!!!
“Do I expect the Obama regime to be honest about who has the disease and who doesnt? Hell no!!!”
The regime is honest about nothing, but I do not look to Obama for guidance from Obama on Ebola or anything.
I will put my trust is the medical literature I have read and it tells me we are not at great risk.
It's for the better in my estimation. Free Republic is the only remaining source for fact-based news and informed opinion. Fox News has gone to the left under its muzzie investors. The rest of the lamestream media are just the enemy, plain and simple. As far as I'm concerned, if's not on FR, then it didn't happen. Conversely, if something is only on FR and nowhere else, then hussein is covering it up.
The boss runs a tight ship here. This is the nation's premiere website for Conservative activism and the place that led to KKKlintoon's impeachment and the firing of Dan Rather. And it will be FR that sets the table for Sarah Palin and/or Ted Cruz to become President!
You're entitled to that option but I think the great Christian evangelist Sam Jones is quite right, as I paraphrase his words here:
As of now. Incubation =21 days.
