"The senator acknowledged that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is difficult to work with because he has severely limited the ability of Republicans to offer amendments."

This is due to McConnell's numerous "handshake agreements" with Reid, ceding enormous powers to the position of Majority Leader...because McConnell thought he'd be Majority Leader by now.

But the slew of "electable" candidates he and his cronies put forth in 2012 ALL LOST!

McConnell has been a piss-poor minority leader! He should be challenged one way or the other.

And McConnell's response has been to roll over and play dead.

He should be, but he won't. Not seriously. He has at least 35 votes that I can think of locked up, probably closer to 40. Given that most of the rest will fall in line for fear of retalliation.

Why would you want a leader who claims he finds his opponent hard to deal with, especially when their agenda is much the same, the only real difference is Reid wants communism instituted as fast as possible and McConnell wants it just a bit slower, you know; make it more palatable, reduce resistance.

Can it really be said one is worse than the other, majority, minority leader they are both dictators, Reid of course is more successful as a dictator, because McConnell finds conservatives particularly hard to deal with, they just don’t want to march in lockstep, even though McConnell continually punishes them.

A true leader is one who knows how to gain the respect, confidence and loyalty of those who he would have follow.

People aren’t getting what this article is really about.

It’s not about McConnell losing to Grimes. It’s about McConnell winning against Grimes, but losing his leadership position if the GOP doesn’t take the Senate.

The article is designed to put a bug in the ear of Conservatives OUTSIDE KY that they can effectively vote against McConnell by voting against the GOP Senate candidate running in their states.

IOW, want McConnell gone? Vote against Tillis. Or Pat Roberts. Or the GOP candidates running in AR, LA, etc.

What the Dems and MSM are trying to do is nationalize the election around McConnell, just as with the Koch Brothers. Persuade Conservatives everywhere to stay home as a protest against McConnell and show the GOPe we mean business by preventing a GOP senate.
