This is the first photo of the homeless man who sparked an Ebola alert in Dallas on Sunday after going missing following possible contact with an infected patient. Michael Lively was the first patient to ride in the ambulance that was used to carry Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan to Presbyterian Hospital, Texas. It is possible that Lively came into contact with Duncan's Ebola-infected bodily fluids during that ride. Lively, who is not showing any symptoms of the disease, had been under observation when he wandered off. He is now in the psych ward of Parkland Hospital following a city-wide search by Dallas police.

You would think so, they are always bragging how they do all these faux response exercises, yet when it comes to the real thing all that training is out the window, along with all our tax dollars, they so eagerly spent.
Kinda like the I Love Lucy Show episodes when Little Ricky was born...................
The “homeless” are certainly one group among whom Ebola could take root and thrive - and get carried all over the country.
I actually don’t think, at the moment, that it has much of a chance of more than random outbreaks, possibly in immigrant communities, inner city ghettoes, or homeless encampments. Those groups have African-level sanitation practices and personal habits, poor health to start with, and crowded, dirty living conditions. However, the “homeless” are the group that wanders around, is unlikely to go to a medical facility promptly, frequently has mental or substance abuse problems that would prevent them from following treatment rules, and sleeps and leaves their waste all over our cities (and even my little town).
I was pretty alarmed when they said they had “lost” an exposed homeless person. While I’m glad they found him again, this whole thing has been such an insane display of incompetence that it is truly frightening.
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
I wonder if the CDC ever followed up on dogs licking the puke water and going home to lick their masters?
Democrats don’t “learn” useful practices...exhibit A...SS...MEDICAID...MEDICARE...ETC...unless it undermines freedom
Obamacare.. Ebolacare.. two sides of the same clusterfu-k!
Yes, the Three Stooges.
If he is still lively, then he is probably ok.
A link to this thread has been posted on the Ebola Surveillance Thread
Luv the hat, Louise.
Too bad Thomas Eric Duncan.
He’s the top “scientist” that comes up with lies for the Global Warming/Climate Change Scam...
... in between chasing red cars and shouting at traffic
The incubation period is 21 days. Too early to tell.
While this guy is wandering around spreading death the CDC will spend millions saving an NBC cameraman..
Wow.
What a relief!
They dug up a homeless(whitey)to blame it on.
Never mind that if Duncan would have stayed home none of this would be happening in the first place.
Perhaps Mr. Lively will be protected from Ebola from the meth he obviously takes. This could be a landmark medical discovery...
Sure they are. They threw him into the crowded psych ward at Parkland, where there are always folks coming and going.
Thanks for the ping!
Youre Welcome, Alamo-Girl!
